Best mineral SPF I’ve ever used
I prefer mineral SPFs because they’re cleaner and not as toxic for me (chemical sunscreens have been shown in scientific studies to be absorbed into the bloodstream) and to the environment, don’t leave me greasy, and don’t clog my pores.This is not like other mineral sunscreens. It is truly a use-everyday SKINCARE product that just happens to have SPF. It doesn’t leave a white cast, blends in like a dream, and feels super sheer and lightweight. It also doesn’t have a gross sunscreen smell. It has a really nice faint smell of citrus.I also love that it also protects against blue light and pollution. Both of which have been shown in scientific studies to age the skin. So it helps me wear it every day because I know that even if I’m not getting a lot of sun one day, I’m still protected against other things.

The best facial moisturizer!
I absolutely love the Andalou ultra sheer daily defense! I have pale, sensitive skin so I am VERY particular as to what I use on my face. It absorbs well, isn’t too thick or too thin, while still moisturizing well. Bonus points that it has the SPF 18 added in. It also has a very light scent, almost fruity (not chemically or a sickly sweet scent). It doesn’t make me break out. I use it twice a day, in morning and evening after washing my face. I have tried many, many products over the years and this one stands out. Also it it affordable, which is also very important. I used to be able to find it in the grocery stores and I can’t anymore, but thankfully can still find it here on Amazon. I have used it for years and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

My everyday moisturizer
I’ve used this moisturizer for years. It has a great consistency that absorbs perfectly into skin, no residue or stickiness. Offers good amount of hydration and SPF. Wears well under makeup. A great price for the quality of product.

Can’t recommend highly enough!
This review is long overdue–I’ve been an Andalou Naturals user for over ten years. They’ve seen me from my mid-thirties when I had an oily t-zone (Citrus Kombucha cleansing gel, lemon sugar scrub, oil-free moisturizer). To my late-thirties when I moved to Colorado (high-elevation, unrelenting sun, dry) when I mixed in the Ultra Sheer daily defense day lotion and Reservatrol Q10 night repair cream. To my early forties when my skin was dulled by age and dry air when I added Turmeric + C Enlightening serum and Purple Carrot + C Luminous night cream. To now, in my mid-forties when I noticed subtle fine lines appearing around my mouth and neck, which switching over to the Apricot Probiotic cleansing milk + Fruit Stem Cell Revitalizing serum + Reservatrol Q10 night repair cream has NOTICEABLY taken care of.I can’t recommend this skin care line highly enough. It has seen me through oily skin, sun damage, low humidity, and fine wrinkles with ease. It’s so easy to mix and match depending on what my skin needs. And honestly, it looks better today at forty-six (glowing and dewy) than when I was twenty-six and was using much more expensive products. And they all smell so good!
