Accurate and easy to use
I’ve tested its accuracy and it is amazing. The price is fair and it is easy to use. So far battery is lasting good. Complete with all what it needs. I am taking my sugar level almost every day. Very nice tracking.

Accurate and Easy To Use!
This is an incredibly user-friendly glucose monitor. It is also very accurate; similar readings to what I get at the lab. Insert then test strip into the monitor to turn it on, and put the test strip against the drop of blood on your finger to take the sample; the blood gets sucked up into the test strip’s window automatically. I also love that this glucose monitor comes with a charger so you don’t need to buy separate batteries for it. The test strips for this glucose monitor are affordable; so are the lancets. Some Tips:- If you have thick skin, use the highest level prick (level 5) on the lancing device pen.- As a first time glucose monitor user, I learned that you will have a certain finger that will produce enough blood sample for testing upon pricking it – you just have to do trial and error to figure out which finger that is. Producing enough blood sample for testing is a challenge for anyone with thick skin on their fingers.

The kit gets you started quickly
Everything you need to start monitoring your blood glucose. as a newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic, it was good to have what I needed to get started in one box. It’s easy to use, and provides readings quickly with only a small droplet of blood. No codes or tables to sort out, just a reading and keeps track of your history for future reference or if you are away from your records. Nice kit.

Reliable Diabetes Management Solution
This monitoring system’s intuitive design is one of its best qualities. Since the glucose monitor is small and light, I can easily carry it everywhere I go. The user experience is improved by the wide display screen’s clarity and readability, even for those with visual impairments. My constant impression of this monitoring system’s functioning is its precision. The test findings are quick and accurate, giving me the knowledge I need to make wise choices regarding my diabetes care regimen, medicine, and nutrition. The kit’s lancet gadget has one minor drawback: some users may find it to be a little bulky.

The New Accuchek?
The Accuchek Advantage was the gold standard for glucometer accuracy when I was first diagnosed. I kept it as long as I could until my insurance made me go to One Touch (middling-above average at best) and then to a Dexcom CGM. For calibrating a CGM, the One Touch worked- not great, but well enough.Fast forward and the supply chain issues of the last few years had left me without CGM supplies for a few periods of time. Needing to go back to a glucometer, I started digging into something that would be a better fit for daily use. Looking around, the Contour Next got great ratings on accuracy. Over time and using the two different calibration solutions, the accuracy has held true. The lancing device is actually very nice, holding the lancet securely, the cap locks shut securely, and the depth control has nice firm detents. If you’ve used a variety of these, you’ll know they are a mixed bag depending on what comes with your glucometer (I used my Accuchek lancing device well after being made to go to One Touch until it finally broke). This one is nice and sets the bar. While it’s not the least-expensive option for paying for out of pocket, the accuracy is worth it and supplies are available in big-box stores and online in addition to pharmacies. If you’ve been a T1D for the last 20+ years, you probably remember the really good glucometers that have since been overtaken by an influx of mediocre white label glucometers (looking at you, Bayer/ReliOn/ whatever Walgreen’s branded one is called). This is a return to the great glucometers.

WORST glucose monitor ever!!
I have NO IDEA why there are so many 5 star reviews on this thing! Maybe they were paid reviews??Okay, so this was my 1st ever glucose monitor. I am pre-diabetic, and because I am not fully diabetic yet, insurance will not pay for glucose monitor for me. Therefore, I turned to Amazon. I bought this one based on all of the really great reviews in addition to its low price. However, this thing turned out to be complete junk.First of all, I had a hard time getting it to even read. I would go through 3 to 5 strips and maybe two lancets just to try to get the thing to read it. When it finally DID read it, I would try it twice and it would give me two completely different readings from the same drop of blood. At one point, I went through three test strips trying to get it to read and it would not, and when it finally did, it told me that my glucose level was 20 and that I needed to seek medical attention immediately. I’m pretty sure I would not have been standing or coherent if my blood sugar was at 20! I tried it again immediately afterwards, and it said it was in the hundreds. Needless to say, I returned this, but returning this was also a royal pain. Because apparently it has a lithium ion battery, which means it has to be boxed up, and taken to UPS, and I still had to pay $5 for a label when Amazon told me all I needed to do was take it to the UPS Store. I will definitely be looking for a completely different brand.
