Great item at a great price
Great item at a great price, Iâm newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes, so I am testing often to dial in my medications. Started out with another âsystemâ and found the test strips outside my means to pay. Bought this tester WITH 150 strips included and an additional 300 strips for the same price as 100 tests strips the other system. Tested both for a couple days to ensure accuracy, and they were identical. For a newer user who requires more testing daily this is ideal especially since I am self pay. Love this and I will stick with this company and product.

Absolute best value for your money
This is about the cheapest kit in relation to being able to afford the test strips. Nice large window for readability, draws blood in well. Easy to use, accurate and functional. The quality is excellent.

Lancets are too dull
the lancets, at deepest setting, do not go deep enough to pull minimum blood out for testing. Pricked different areas and same result. I’ve wasted 50% of the strips, because i get a too low reading and cannot use the test strip again.

The name-brand glucose testing kits have strips that are incredibly expensive. These are quite economical. The only thing bad about this kit is the lancets. They don’t work well, so I use a different brand instead.

For me, the test strips won’t take up a sample
I have not been able to get a readable sample with the test strips. Even with a very large drop of blood, they only take up a small fraction of what the instructions show as a good sample. After poking my fingers so many times with zero results, I gave up.

Nice kit for someone whoâs not looking to use it long-term.
The instructional video on the product listing is very good. I think this is great for gestational diabetes, I donât know about long-term for regular diabetics.The supplies arrive in a tamper resistant box. The instructions state not to use it past the expiration date, but there is no date printed on the box itself.The box does say that the lancets are five years and the test strips are 18 months. It also says that once you open the test strips to use them within three months.FYI:It does not come with the alcohol swabs, but you can easily pick up them up at your favorite retailer.It does use a CR 2032 battery (included).At the time of this review, additional lancets, and testing strips, were listed on this page with the product listing.

Blood Glucose Monitor Kit
I have gestational diabetes and my continuous glucose monitor has been somewhat unreliable in terms of readings. I got this to make sure my numbers are within range at key times in the day. The AUVON monitor is very easy to use and I like that it comes with its own convenient case. It’s easy to throw in my purse or keep next to my bed to test fasting sugars in the morning.I’ve found that the lancing device needs to be on the highest setting to truly get enough blood for the test (my doctor wants me discarding the first two drops), but I may just have calloused fingers. Otherwise, this kit is easy to use right out of the box, and I like the added peace of mind of knowing my sugars are in range. This is an affordable kit and I have actually purchased additional lancets and strips for a previous version of the exact same monitor and lancing device in the past. I’ll likely continue to use this device from time-to-time even after my baby is born to make sure my sugars are still on track.
