    I’m a welder
I’ve been using this product for 6 months now. I’m super happy. I’m a female welder and I’m so worried about my hair becoming dry because of the heat. This product does a great job of adding volume but not causing breakage. My hair has never grown this long and it feels strong! Sometimes my hair does get a little dry because I do have to wash it everyday as I weld on cars and get very gross at work. But nothing a hair mask doesn’t fix. I’m super happy with it and continue to buy it. The price point is awesome for a good product that’s organic. The smell is great too, Im a sucker for essential oil scents.

5 stars for conditioner, 1 star for some sellers packaging
I love this conditioner. It smells amazing, rinses out easily, and doesn’t weigh down my fine hair. Most of the time, the packaging on this is the best – it usually comes shrink wrapped to a piece of cardboard inside a smaller box inside the Amazon box. Every so often, I get a seller that just ships it loose in an Amazon box, and then it’s almost guaranteed to leak. Not cool.

Thin and ineffective! Inferior compared to what it was!
I will say 2 nice things about this product first. It’s organic… yay. It smells fantastic… a real lavender scent. Besides these things, I found this conditioner to be absolutely useless and ineffective! I used to buy Avalon Organics shampoo and conditioner regularly some years ago and was VERY satisfied with them. The only reason I stopped using them is because our budget got really tight and I had to buy cheaper products. As I have been able to buy nicer products again, I wanted to give Avalon another try. Feeling I could trust that it was a good product, I made the mistake of buying a really big bottle of it on Amazon, excited to see the good value. First… I was not able to get the pump nozzle to release by turning it, no matter what I tried. So, I just used it by pouring it out the top. I was extremely surprised and disappointed to find that it was a completely different consistency than I remember (but same great smell). When I used it years ago it was nice and thick and I didn’t have to use a huge volume of it to get good coverage for my hair. This stuff was so thin, I had to use handfuls of it just to feel it on my hair at all, and even with a huge volume applied, I felt like there was nothing in my hair. Even what was in my hair just ran and dripped off instead of being retained and letting my hair soak in it a little while. After I rinsed and got out of the shower, I was disgusted to find that, as I tried to brush my hair, not only was my hair dry and tangly, as if it has not been conditioned at all, but I began to notice a waxy build up on my hair brush, which I have never yet experienced! I would return it if my return window was not already closed. Now it will probably just go in the trash… a complete WASTE of money and resources!

    I liked it
I really liked this conditioner and the smell. The only problem is it does not thickin up so you have to use a lot of it if you have long hair that you want to condition. Also my hubby thinks it smells too herbal and that the scent gets all over the pillows. My hubby was not a fan of the scent at all, he doesn’t like the smell of rosemary, I loved it though. But if my hubby doesn’t like the scent I can’t use this one. I tried the lemon one and he liked the scent of that one more.

    Avalon shampoo
Avalon shampoo is good for hair. Personally recommend to adult. It is good to use. After washing hair feels relaxing. I like too much. I like to buy again and again.

    Definitely not very moisturizing
So I’m not usually what you’d call “picky” when it comes to my shampoo & conditioners. I just like to use products that have as few chemicals & fillers as possible so the more natural the better. However, when I used this conditioner I can honestly say I was surprised at how DRY it was in my hair. The texture in hand feels normal and it smells lovely, but the second it hits your hair it feels like it’s almost sticking to the hair instead of coating it for ease of management. I tried to use my fingers to comb through my hair and it was very very difficult to do. It took a long time to not just pull all of my hair out as I combed. I have really long, lightly curly but average textured (not frizzy prone) hair so it doesn’t take a LOT of conditioner for me to manage my hair. I will definitely not be buying this again. I’m sure there are better conditioning products out there that aren’t loaded with chemicals.

    Pleasantly surprised
I didn’t have high hopes for this conditioner to be honest. I was looking for something naturally scented and as clean as I could get. I’ve using other products by this brand and they’ve all been great so I figured I might as well try. The conditioner is on the thinner side and you don’t feel much when you’re in the shower. I fully expected my hair to be a tangled mess because the conditioner was so thin but there were zero tangles in my hair and it was SO SOFT after blow drying. I can’t wait to try the shampoo now. The lavender smells just like lavender essential oils so it’s light and not overpowering. Great product!

    Smells terrible; No moisture
I gave this two stars instead of one for one reason: It has safe, natural ingredients. I appreciate that. But I have to throw away the whole, huge bottle because it’s useless to me. It has none of the slippery feel of normal conditioner. I have wavy/curly hair, and it needs moisture. This made my hair flat and frizzy. Perhaps it would be good for someone with fine, straight hair? And then there’s the scent. I wouldn’t mind unscented, and I know that natural scents aren’t typically as strong as synthetic ones. But they don’t have to be icky! Sorry, Avalon Organics. I wanted to love it but I can’t.

I have long, fine hair that gets weighed down very quickly and is oilier than it is dry. This Avalon Organics clarifying conditioner is great for my hair type: it provides just enough moisture to my hair to stop it from tangling, without building up on my strands and weighing it down. The lemon scent of this conditioner is beautiful. It’s got that light, crisp, bright citrusy lemon scent, with just a touch of sweetness (like a lemon dessert). I use the conditioner after shampooing and leave it in my hair for 2 or 3 minutes before rinsing, and the scent fills my bathroom. The conditioner rinses cleanly from my hair, and I love how light it leaves my hair once it’s dry. This is a clarifying conditioner- it is NOT heavily moisturizing so if you have dry hair this isn’t the product you’re looking for! For oily hair, however, it’s fabulous, as well as for limp hair that is prone to product buildup. I’m really pleased with this conditioner, it works really well for my hair and I will buy it again.

I switched to Avalon Organics and tried this conditioner after learning about the use of formaldehyde (DMDM) in my previous conditioner of choice under the OGX brand. I chose this conditioner because cosmetic ingredient analysis websites show it has no harmful ingredients. The pros are this smells great, leaves my hair feeling fresh and clean. The cons are that this is less thick than conditioner I’m used to, so it’s more on the liquidy side. This takes a little getting used to but overall I’d recommend it.

Love the texture and fragrance. I didn’t use it for long enough to comment on the long term results.

Wasn’t able to find it in the stores anymore so ordered on here. I have very straight hair but when I use this it seems to put a little curl in it. I like the rosemary smell as well.
