Touching story with an important lesson about bullying
As a mom of a six and a three year old, the kids’s social life is something I often worry about. Will they be nice to others? Will others treat them nice? And how can they learn to cope when others aren’t nice even if they are nice to the others? This book shows children how anybody can be bullied because they are different, but while some people will bully others because of their differences, others will admire them precisely because of them.I loved that the book, in addition to showing this, shows the kids what not to do when they are being bullied. I only wish the cute Babaroo would have gotten a chance to show off his new skills! But the ending was still perfect. Highly recommended!

Great story to help kids not believe mean things bullies say
My daughter and I enjoyed reading this book together. Babaroo the Alien is bored and ventures off to Earth to explore. When his space tricycle lands in a forest, he meets a fox and a skunk and asks them if he can play ball with them. Unfortunately, the fox and skunk are mean and make fun of Babaroo. Will he find friends? The story is sweet and teaches kids to be kind to others. It also touches on ideas for how to handle bullies if kids encounter them. The ending is happy and Babaroo learns an important lesson to not believe the mean things bullies say.

A sweet story with an important message!
A wonderful story that teaches kids that saying hurtful things is wrong. Baraboo the alien wants to make friends with those he meets when he visits our planet. But Baraboo looks so different that no one wants to be his friend except a kind snail. With the help of his new friend, Baraboo is welcomed. The story teaches acceptance, kindness and not to bully others. I enjoyed the book and the message it delivers. Recommended!

Good Anti-Bully Message
The best part of this story to me is about the snail who steps in and lets the alien know he is valued. Cute and a great message. Illustrations are very well done.

What delightful illustrations to a beautiful little story about being different and how to overcome bullying. Babaroo is a cute little alien but when he comes to earth to make new friends some nasty animals make fun of him for being different. Snail soon comes to help and gives the little alien a few tips. He then introduces him to some friendly animals who think he’s cool. An enjoyable little read.
