A very cool way to boost confidence
I have a cousin I grew up with that has a light patch on her forehead and it goes down to her eye. I always thought it made her so beautiful because it was unique. I also have a friend that has a dark mark in the middle of her forehead and I always thought the same thing. I have a beauty mark near my eye brow and so does my mother and it kind of sticks out. I love this book for so many reasons and it is also such a great read! And do not forget the affirmations and special coloring pages in the back. I love all the inclusion of nationalities and the few disabilities that were displayed throughout the book. This book teaches a child how to overcome a physical fear in such a caring and reassuring manner. Loved and really enjoyed reading this book! Well done.

My favorite of “the New Cool” series
This is such a charming book. It has so much heart.Maddie has a condition called Poliosis, which caused a spot on her hair to be white. The book does a lovely job of showing people’s reactions to her hair, both unkind and kind. This is a book many people – children and grownups (especially grownups) – should take a moment to read to reclaim their empathy for others who might be different from them. This is my favorite of the “the New Cool” books.

Throughout the tale, Maddie transforms from feeling insecure about her birthmark to proudly accepting it. Another gorgeous entry to the series!
The ever-talented authoress Ms. Jacqueline Crann does it again! From the vivid colorful details in the Cool world, down to the important and impactful lesson learned at the end of her stories, this book is an absolutely must-have for young children. I also enjoyed all the easter eggs within the illustrations themselves, demonstrating the strength of the world (and the Brand) that Ms. Crann has built. Excellent job, keep up the Creativity and Inspiration!

    Dare To Be Different
This special book will teach children how to accept and appreciate their differences, as well as the differences of others. Maddie will encounter several people with unique qualities. Whether you are bald, have green hair, in a wheelchair, or have one arm, dare to be different! Such a wonderful tool to use in classrooms and homes.
