Great combination of hyaluronic acid and ferulic acid for my very sensitive, dry skin.
Yet another excellent skincare product from Korea. Iâve tried several brands of hyaluronic acid, but this is the first one Iâve seen that offers 5 types of hyaluronic acid and ferulic acid. Hyaluronic acid is excellent for hydration and ferulic acid is an antioxidant that is touted as possibly preventing wrinkles and fading discoloration. The only other product I own that contains ferulic acid is a SkinCeuticals product which I cannot use because the vitamin C component severely irritates my skin. However, the belif Aqua Bomb does not bother my skin at all, so I can now get the benefit of ferulic acid in addition to some hydration. I have very dry, very sensitive skin and this provides a lovely layer of moisture between the SK-II essence and a moisturizing cream.
I saw a couple of reviews stating that it dried the skin, but it looks like theyâre using it alone without a moisturizer and any hyaluronic acid alone has the potential to dry out the skin because itâs a humectant. The hyaluronic acid (HA) molecule absorbs water and holds it. Our body produces HA naturally, but over time this production decreases and we start losing that plumpness in our skin. Any HA serum is going to help supplement some of that lost moisture albeit only on the surface of the skin, but it first needs to have some moisture to hold on to which may be in the form of a moisturizing gel, oil or cream. On its own, I can see how it may be drying, especially if youâre of a certain age (like me!) or if you live in a particularly dry environment, but using it in conjunction with another product will really help to boost the moisture and give that look of fullness we miss from our youth.
Itâs thicker than water and has a silky texture, but will remain a bit tacky until you put another product on top. It also has a scent, but I donât find it obnoxious. It doesnât irritate my skin and I can even apply it around my eyes without bother which I find surprising because the list of ingredients is extensive, but somehow the formulation works and doesnât cause any redness or burning. The container itself is attractive and well thought out. Itâs a blue glass bottle (that doesnât leak) and itâs one of the few bottles with a dropper that comes with a wiper inside! The wiper skims the outside of the dropper as itâs being extracted so as not to waste product that drips outside the bottle or onto the counter or floor. Itâs a small detail that makes a big difference. Itâs another excellent beauty product from SK and Iâll be a repeat customer.

I use this primarily on my eyelids. My right eye sags more. Since using this serum, I can actually see my eyelid (hooded eyes). I use morning and evening. You donât need more than a drop per eyelid. Definitely worth the price.

Good results
1 ounce of hydrating facial serum in a small glass bottle with eye drop dispenser. 2-3 drops are all that’s needed to properly saturate your face so expect to get 1-2 months of use from this bottle even when used daily. The serum is formulated at 11% with a proprietary blend ‘Hyalucid’ comprised of 5x types of hyaluronic and ferulic acids. The serum efficiently absorbs into the skin and provides an immediate refreshed appearance. Overnight results are good but it also holds up well during daylight hours.
