Finally!
2 of my older arm cuff monitors finally died, and I tried 3 others from Walgreens ($70 Omron) and CVS and Amazon ($45 and $34, respectively). This was the least expensive and my favorite overall. I appreciate the large, backlit display, the fact that it did NOT speak to me, and the memory function (with the option to delete old readings). Love the carrying bag so that everything is in one place and not spread messily across the counter. Really, I would give it 4.7 (only bc I liked how one of my defunct monitors had space on the back to hold the cuff. I couldnât find that one) but it certainly deserves higher than the 4.4 itâs getting now. Itâs super easy to set up and to use.

Nice machine and easy
We have been frustrated with a few past blood pressure home machines. They started out pretty accurate but then became undependable. Hopefully this one will stay accurate over the years. There are a few things I really like about this one. The cuff has a better form of velcro. The old style machines have traditional velcro and the loops catch on your clothing. This cuff has a plastic grid-like velcro that closes very well but does not catch on clothing. Initially I found this cuff to be too large for my thin arms. I contacted Greater Goods (wonderful customer service, by the way) and they sent me out a smaller cuff. The smaller cuff did not work well for me. I went back to the original cuff, and with better placement, I am able to use it successfully. You have to be sure the red indicator line is right over the main artery. It takes a little playing with the first few times to get the hang of positioning the cuff just right. Another thing I really like about this unit is that it has both battery and plug in options. My mom’s unit is always dead due to old batteries and hers doesn’t have the ability to be used plugged in. This is a great feature. There are ways to program users A and B and keep track of your BP over time. But if you want to just keep it simple- put one the cuff and press the “on” button. Super easy. I also like the compact size of this and the neat little case it comes with.

Good device but pinches arm
I’ve had this device for just about 1 year. I really like that you can store data for 2 people. It is easy to use, compact for travel (for the most part) and the display is easy to read. I believe it gives accurate readings. The one thing I really do not like it the cuff. It has goofy metal component that pinches my arm every time I use it for that reason alone, I am going to buy a new device.

Very easy to use.
This machine is a breeze to use and very well made. I like that it has batteries as well as a wall adapter.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
First, I gave 4 stars for accuracy because I’m not sure how accurate this unit is. When I first got it, the monitor read what appeared to be a little high compared to another monitor. And it could be the monitor at the doctors office read differently than what my actual BP was/is. That being said, I didn’t complain because this unit is consistent. So if it’s a little high, and consistent, at least I have a baseline I can monitor from. With all the variables from one nurse using the hand pump method to electronic/battery units, there’s going to be some variance. What I was concerned with is consistency… And this unit has it! That being said… I bought this model in Feb of 2021. And during the 2nd week of May, I kept getting an E1 error code, (cuff too tight or loose). After checking the batteries and electrical plugs, all was fine. Air hose “APPEARED” and felt to be connected properly too. So I contacted customer support. They responded with the typical “did you try…” So during my reply, I checked everything once more AND… The air line had wiggled off the nipple just enough that when the monitor would hit around 180-ish, it would stop and I got the error code. Pushed it on the nipple just a tad further and Voila’ everything is working again! So I would say at this point you can buy this monitor with confidence! The company replied to my initial inquiry and remedied the problem, (which was my fault for not checking it more thoroughly)… Thanks again Kiley and “Greater Goods” for your reply and OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SUPPORT! 🙂 All the best, -Mike :)UPDATE: BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! I spoke too soon with my above reply. Shortly after I thought the monitor issue was addressed by me pushing the hose tight again, I got the same error code. Tried fixing it buy couldn’t so I replied back to Kiley at Greater Goods. They immediately remedied the situation! Not by trial and error of sending a new cuff/hose, but instantly sent a whole new unit! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I didn’t have to wait in line at Walmart’s customer service, didn’t have to find the receipt, just explained the situation and Greater Goods took care of the rest! Thanks Kiley, and thanks Greater Goods! All the best! -Mike 🙂

Does not work !
This blood pressure monitor DOES NOT WORK !!! I bought this device because I wanted to keep an eye on my blood pressure which I know from previous visits to the doctor that it was 140 over 80. I took my blood pressure with the Greater Goods Blood Pressure Monitor and had a reading of 169 !!This was 29 points higher than I had expected and as you can imagine I was in a state of shock over getting such a high number. I called my DC medical center and made an appointment to have my blood pressure checked by a professional to make sure that what I was getting on the Greater Goods Monitor was correct. When I had my blood pressure taken at the medical center with their blood pressure device it was 140 over 80. I had them place the Greater Goods monitor on my arm and the reading was 169 again, we tried taking it two more times and were given the same results. It was determined that my new device was inaccurate ! It makes me very angry that something so important like a blood pressure monitor is not tested and regulated before selling it to the consumer. I wasnât very happy about having to make an appointment with the medical center to have my blood pressure taken and for them to test my Greater Goods monitors accuracy.
