Super light weight
I am able to take these with me on super long treks and barely know they are there. Super sturdy with tip accessories I was not expecting. They fold up small and easy to unfold at a moments notice. Great poles!!

Don’t bother. Not worth it!
The tips of the pole broke off while walking on normal ground. The pole is new, used it for approximately 2 weeks when it broke off.I have reached out to them and they said I should proceed with my warranty claims. I did submit a warranty claim and they told me they will send a replacement to me. This was back in July.It is now almost the end of September and I still haven’t received a replacement. I have tried reaching out to them multiple times (both via email and phone) and have not received a response.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Not good for average height men
These poles only come in 2 sizes, and both of them are the wrong size if you are an average size (5’10”) male. The short one are too short to allow you to lengthen them for downhills, and the long ones are too long to allow you to shorten them for uphills. FAIL!

Backpacking Load Saver!
I started backpacking later in life around age 35. At age 50, I thought using trekking poles was for sissies! That is when I finally borrowed some poles from a friend and loved them. For a few years, I purchased a pair from a popular outdoor retail store. They were not cheap and worked pretty well except they occasionally slipped due to the poor locking system. Buying the Black Diamond poles is a game changer! They are so easy to open and lock. I had a much less difficult time than in the past tracking down Vogelsang in Yosemite to Merced Lake over about eight miles of broken rock I am 6″0 and 227lbs and carry about a 55lb pack. Ok! I like bringing a chair, and hammock, fishing gear, and other gadgets! Having one size pole is so much more convenient and sturdy rather than the locking poles. Locking poles can indeed be shortened before going uphill, yet these single-length poles are great at helping you maintain your balance and disperse the load on your back while hiking downward. They are indeed expensive. I thought this when I got these poles a few years ago! I suggest beginners get something more affordable until they upgrade to something more permanent. The selling point I would like to suggest is that your back and safety are worth more than anything else. Last, the poles are incredibly light!

3 week customer service wait for warranty
For $220 poles, I’m ok with a misshap and warranty replacement on occasion, but not on only 45 miles of use and to recieve an automated warranty claim notification that volume is high so there will be a minimum 3 week response time. I’d rather take my chances on three $60 pairs so i have them when i need them.Update: black diamond actually responded after 2 days and is sending a new pair so I upgraded to 3 stars. If these make it through the two technical 50 mile races i have coming up without issue, i’ll upgrade them to 4 stars. In all honesty, they did “feel” a lot better than the cheap $30 pair i got off amazon that were made out of aluminum and telescoping, so really annoying to carry. These carry great with the salomon quiver.

Great hiking poles for a small person. Light abd foldable. Worth the money.

sehr stabil, elegant und haben gut im Rucksack platz. Was dazu gehören sollte ist ein Säckchen für nach dem Gebrauch um die Stöcke im Rucksack zu verstauen und die Kleidungsstücke nicht zu beeinträchtigen.
