I take quite a large number of supplements, and suspect the addition of this one has caused me some distress. I stopped it and restarted my cal-mag supplement, but the symptoms did not completely subside. I do not wish to throw out the baby “and the bathwater” in my case, so would appreciate input from those who are on this supplement. I slowly started taking my probiotic supplement, and followed it with Inulin Fructooligosaccharides. Then I added the Butyrate back at one capsule twice daily. No problems experienced in 24 hours,so I raised it to 2 capsules twice daily. I followed that with the remainder of the supplements over the next week and a half. Interestingly enough, I have not experienced any of the symptoms I reported before.Based on this experience I would recommend this supplement highly. If you notice any of the symptoms I experienced I recommend starting slowly and working your way up with your doses. I am currently on a very low carbohydrate diet and while I supplement with fiber and prebiotics I feel even better taking this supplement.

This product didnât work as desired for me. I have a sensitivity to Calcium in supplements I didnât consider before trying this product. The product is very hyped online and touted as the best product out there but I also didnât consider the type of magnesium in it. The fact that itâs magnesium hydroxide should be pointed out on the front label. Anyway I got a lot of side effects to this product that I wasnât able to see if there was any of the medicinal benefits that are discussed about this supplement.

got this because it looked better than other butyrate products available on the market. however, this does not improve digestion and instead causes gas. moreover, after a few days of using the product, it caused breakouts on the face and upper back area. I was confused about why it would cause it. Most supplements don’t cause issues for me. However, I recalled that probiotic products in the past, have caused acne and similar symptoms as well. possibly since the bacteria are dead or something else.I was also looking at reviews for fermented cod liver oil products and saw lots of complaints of rashes, breakouts, stomach upset etc. after doing more research noted that butyric acid is produced in the body by fermentation. this butyrate product is also created via fermentation, which is why it has the horrible smell. so if you have trouble tolerating fermented products or probiotic products, this may also cause issues for you. the bottle smells bad, maybe since the capsules are not airtight. It does not make sense how you can touch a capsule and then your hands start smelling like the butyrate as well. that means the capsules are leaky, since the smell should not absorb into your hands.I placed a big order and all my items were eligible for return besides this one. I have never seen an item not be eligible for return before so this seller; BodyBio, has an absolutely horrible return policy. It is concerning that the product has potential to cause side effects yet is not eligible for returns. All the other supplements in my order were listed as eligible for return besides this one. I don’t have any gut related issues, just bought this for general health improvement. It’s concerning that it causes side effects even without pre existing gut issues. I can’t see the benefit of this unless you are maybe using antibiotics and need a probiotic/fermented product like this.

Hope that one day can write a review of how wonderful it works for a SEVERE ME/CFS sufferer but at the moment cannot get over the intense dreadful odour. It travels through the bottle and sticks to your hands and anything it touches. A strange experience. Thought they must be totally rancid but looking on here good there is info that says this is safe – well suggests it is!
