Great Detail
The book goes into great detail about Mr. Lee’s work out programs, even breaking down exercises for specific body parts. There are no illustrations, and being a visual person I found using the book very difficult.

If you are a Bruce Lee fan you will love this book. This is a book every martial artist would enjoy reading.
As a lifetime student of numerous martial arts (Judo, wrestling, boxing, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Kenjutsu, Military combatives, Jeet Kune Do etc.), I was a Bruce Lee fan for many years. I have also read just about every book published on the late Bruce Lee and his own fighting expression of Jeet Kune Do. Like Bruce, I sought out numerous fitness activities which would make be a more efficient martial artist. When I saw this fantastic book (Bruce Lee: the art of expressing the human body compiled by John Little), for a bargain price I had to have it. It is one of the few books I have not read previously on Bruce Lee.This short review cannot due this book justice. If you desire to know the various exercise routines and equipment Bruce used to become super fighting fit, this is a must read book. Interestingly, in my own search I used many of the same sources when I was training seriously in the martial arts. Bruce did not seek out a bodybuilderâs hugeness but his hard muscular body was focused on creating more power and speed in his techniques. He sought out exercise programs from a wide variety of systems. Some of the many tools he used to build his strength and power include the following: Isometric (8 basic) exercises, barbells, dumbbells, kettle bells, circuit training routines, the Enter the Dragon routine for martial artists, abdominal exercises, forearm exercises, Bruce Leeâs top 7 exercises for the neck and shoulders, and his top exercises for building the chest, back, arms, legs and calves. He also had a routine when training with the heavy bag and numerous other exercise programs. If you desire to understand what it takes to be the best you can be in any martial art, this book is for you. Bruce Lee understood clearly the essential fitness factors that go into any martial art training routine. This book in my opinion is a classic on the training methods of the late Bruce Lee.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Co-Author: The Monadnock (MDTS) Defensive Tactics System)

Bruce Lee AkA Little Dragon
This is by far one of his best books that i’m adding to my collection, listen up to all my real martial artist when people say kung fu is fake or thats’s not real trust me if you fallow all these steps and more you will succeed at being the best but you can’t expect this book to get you there you have to keep searching for more truth practicing everyday stay dedicated stay humble and stay true many times I have read Bruce Lee’s books or watched videos when people get interviewed and they would say that he is cocky! rule #1 you can never confuse cocky with confidence #2 boastfulness with self sufficient and by the way he knew these things and it’s a hard road to travel i’m just sad to say that he didn’t get a chance to reach his full ability, and he was right about one thing Kung Fu is the best I have never seen such a Martial Art that ask for so much of a person now I see why the monks study this art and I think he knew the same, I’m really glad that he started teaching this great art in the first place which was Wing Chun that we know of and then he mixed it with Kung Fu and no one never taught Kung Fu in the United States let alone Wing Chun these arts are sacred and it was never taught to the public but i’m glad that Shaolin Monks are teaching people from the west and all over the world because if it was me I will never want this art to be lost in time and forgotten. But remember one thing always have a good heart about what you teach make sure they have a good heart because people use these methods to oppress people and try to hurt the weak, but its made to defend the helpless protect the weak and protect the people with all this being said “I insistently warn you: be cautious when you are training never hurt anyone when you are practicing with them, train hard and train well may God Bless you all.

Great for mindset molding
This book is great for understanding the philosophy and thought process of Bruce Lee while giving you some basic starting points to help you to produce your own system. This book does not include much when it comes to step by step walk-through workouts since Bruce didn’t believe that there was one set path to physical beauty. Each of us must tailor fit our workouts, diet, and lifestyle to fit our individual end goals. Plus, trial and error is primary in Bruce’s methods. He believed that his methods must always evolve with the breakthroughs of the time. So, view this book as a broad guide and a mind molding tool. You will need to supplement this book with more thorough work out manuals.

Truly informative and riveting.
This book is outstanding! If you are a martial artist, a fan of Bruce Lee or even a fitness enthusiast you will find this book full of wonderful information from the evolution of Bruce Leeâs workouts as he remained a constant pioneer of self improvement, loads of workout routines to add to your own or even his approach to nutrition. This book has loads of information to digest and review I am definitely glad to have this book in my collection. These types of books are definitely not my typical fancy but John Little has done an outstanding job compiling, organizing and making this book for all its detail. I really stress this is such an amazing book.
