I have used various ones of this company’s products for years, and I have always been pleased with the quality and price. However, I usually purchase their powered products, and make my own capsules, pills or find some other way of using the powder. I have never purchased pills or capsules from them.I am convinced the quality of these capsules is excellent.What I did not like about them is:a) the capsules are not cleaned off well, so they have a bit of residue of the powder on the outside of the capsules. This is not much of a problem, because I could not taste it. But it did get on my hand when I put capsules directly out of the bottle into my hand.b) Wish you could get the same dosage with less capsules. the dosage recommendation of this calcium, requires 6 capsules, which I believe are size 00, whereas I have taken calcium pills in the past which only recommended 2 as the daily dose. That being said, I believe that is due only to lower recommended dosage, as opposed to this being a less concentrated product, though it is possible pressing calcium into pills instead of using capsules, may allow a larger amount of calcium in each pill. I often make my own capsules plus I have a pill making machine, but I never made that specific test. Pills, unfortunately, have to have added binders to make them hold together, and added lubricant to make them come out of the machine, but they can be pressed harder, whereas capsules do not have to have the binders, etc. but the powder cannot be pressed into capsules as tightly.I have used powdered calcium from other companies in the past that required 1 level Tablespoon, So 6 capsules is probably about right. I believe, most likely most calcium supplements, are simply not given in an adequate dosage for optimum health. Calcium is probably the main mineral needed by the body, so it requires a good amount of it to be effective. I believe if a person does not want to take a lot of capsules in order to get an adequate amount of calcium supplement, that person should mix the powder in water and drink it instead of taking it in capsules. But if that is not an option, I believe 6 of these capsules is a very good recommended dosage of calcium.

Easy to take throughout the day
I have been using Bulk Supplements supplements for a very long time. I was originally introduced to this company by a friend who is a trainer and way more into health and supplements than I will ever be (in other words, I trust him here!) and I have been using them ever since. It’s a great company with quality supplements, and these pills are no exception.I particularly like that these are calcium citrate vs. carbonate pills. Primarily because you have to take calcium carbonate with food, but you don’t need to take calcium citrate with food. And I’m terrible at planning my meals around my pills (or visa vera?). So I can take these in the morning or evening and not worry about eating if I don’t feel like it (or if I already ate). The downside is that you need more pills to get the same amount of calcium, because carbonate absorbs better. So for 1,000mgs here you need 6 pills. It’s a lot. But I split mine between morning, noon, and night to help with absorbency, and that way I only need two pills at a time throughout the day. Very manageable.

Great company and trust their products
It’s a little difficult to leave a review for essentially all vitamins and supplements. At least for me, it’s quite rare to see any results in anything, though the fact that I don’t have an adverse reaction is helpful. This is no different. I am not seeing anything “bad” in my reaction to taking them. My rating is mostly based on their reputation, as I have made several orders from BulkSupplements in the past. Particularly, I do see a difference in recovery time when I take their leucine.These calcium pills are the type of product that will take a while to see the benefits, but I have no doubt that they will be helpful. The 6-pill serving size is kind of hefty, but that’s a minor complaint. The pills are easy to swallow and look like high quality from what I can see.Overall, I am pleased with my order.
