Tips to get the most from BURST Expanding Floss from a dental hygienist
Gather 12-16 inches of floss around your middle finger, and a few inches around the other middle finger
Pinch the floss with your thumbs and pointer fingers securely, leaving about an inch
Glide the floss between each tooth and make your way toward the gumline
At the gumline, make sure the floss “hugs” the tooth in a C-shape, allowing it to disappear right under the gums.
Move the floss up and down the length of each tooth 3-4 times, scraping the plaque from the sides of the tooth.

Refreshing
This is pretty good floss. I use a competitive floss that I love, but decided to give this one a try. Nice and thick, the black allows you to see whatâs coming out and itâs minty and makes your mouth feel fresh as if you have brushed . Itâs a great so I recommend giving it a try.

Periodontal Disease
Through pregnancy Iâve developed periodontal disease and was looking for a better floss option. I love the black color so you can see the stuff you get out. This works way better than waxy regular floss. Sometimes it shreds a little, but itâs certainly worth that. Love this floss! I was using cocofloss prior to this but that was too thick and double the price. This is just a little bit thinner so I can get it in between all my teeth.

Best Floss
Iâve switched from traditional floss to the expanding floss and will not go back. This floss is perfect and gets way more gunk than the wax covered floss by expanding between the teeth.

Really good, wish they didn’t use “aroma”
I’m super picky with my floss. My favorite was Dr. Tung’s due to the texture. It has this great fibrous texture that expands when you use it – great at grabbing plaque. Then one day I randomly tried a brand (not this) of black floss and holy smokes is it rewarding to see how much gunk you’re flossing out! That other brand didn’t expand so I knew I wouldn’t re-purchase, but this Burst floss looked like a great combination of the two. At first I was leery that it didn’t expand as much as Dr. Tung’s but after using it a few weeks I think it does. And the black is amazing. I removed a star because it contains “mint eucalyptus aroma.” I do everything to avoid synthetic ingredients and this seems unclear. Fingers crossed it’s just essential oils, but I’m leery that it’s synthetic fragrance. Otherwise this is perfect.

Iâve been looking for a woven dental floss since the last brand I used was discontinued a few year ago. Woven is far superior to the tape version. It does a great job!

Shredding an Issue for Close Together Teeth
This is a good product but unfortunately it didnât work for me. Thereâs not much space between my teeth and floss shredding was an issue. It was sometimes hard to remove the floss as well. Also, bits of the floss got stuck between teeth in a couple of places and I had to use my regular floss to remove them. Overall, waxed floss is a better option for me.
