Good product for home
Arrived on-time and I’m a professional welder so I can tell you that the welds at the joints were “good” (i.e. no undercut, porosity, overhand | appearance of good penetration, heat, distance, and speed of wire-feed, etc…). Very easy to assemble and all components were in good shape and present.Back in the day CAP had a large market push for 1″ bars for 1″ plate holes so I have a lot of that equipment. The bar and plate holders for the back are for 2″ bars and plates though so I don’t really have a use for them now since I found this the most affordable and reliable for front/back squatting at home. Would have been nice if there were a rack like this but for 1″ equipment but no biggie. I may purchase an EZ bar with the accompanying 2″ plates later for triceps extensions, shoulder raises, and curls but I don’t need that for now. Finally, I’m 6’1” | 175lbs and the pull-up bar is perfect for me for any kind of hang-man ab-work, pull-ups’, chin-ups, etc. I’m all about high intensity weightlifting so adding this equipment to my personal fitness arsenal. (e.g. Widow-maker back squat set (20 sec rest) + straight leg deadlift (20 sec rest) + dumbbell press (full rest until HR < 120 bpm - start drop-set back squat + reg. deadlift, etc.)Very grateful for a solid rack to allow me to back squat at home

Fantastic minimalist squat rack
This squat rack is great for the price. It has a small footprint but is strong enough for most people who are just wanting to incorporate barbell exercises into their workout. The barbell and weight holders are a nice addition to serve double duty as a way to keep the barbells and weights tidy. The pull up bar works as well as long as you donât need to do muscle ups or other exotic variations. I donât know of another squat rack of this quality at this prize, so as long as you arenât a power lifter and donât need something extra heavy duty or with lots of attachments , itâs hard to beat this.Note: barbells, weights, collars and safety arms were separate purchases.

Great budget and space saving power rack
First, there is confusion about whether this rack can handle 300 or 500 lbs. The answer is it depends on what model you purchase. At the time of my purchase, the black model was model 705 and cost $85 while the others are model 905 and cost $120. The 905 does support 500/750 lbs. The 705 is 300/300. If you want more than 300lbs as described in the page pictures make sure you pick the color you want and check that the item description section bellow the pictures says 905 as the model. This review is for the 905 models. The rack was easy to assemble. It took me 45 minutes to get it finished and all holes lined up. There were some scratches in the finish. I can’t tell if they were made during manufacturing or shipping but they don’t affect the overall look or function. The frame feels solid and well made even though it is just under 70lbs. This is impressive given that this will handle 500lbs in a bar. The pullup bar also feels “safe” and the frame doesn’t shake much when used. The unit has the option to be bolt down if needed. For $120 and able to handle 500lbs, this is a great entry-level or for an experienced lifter who wants something with a low profile and doesn’t want to be limited to 300lbs.Now to the things I didn’t like and why it is 4 stars and not 5. The weight catches feel well-engineered but they have no padding or protection against the bar. The paint will be flaking off easily if a bar with texture is used. As others have done, I recommend adding some thin carpet of rubber so that the finish is protected. Don’t put something too thick or slippery though as that will make it less safe. The adjustment holes are well placed but are 1/2 inch. This is making finding accessories almost impossible. Other manufacturers of similar models have spotter arms and replacement catches as well as a weight holding arms available. While not perfect, this is still a great buy for the price and will do the job. I recommended it.

Sturdy, compact, practical, and stable. Looks nice too.
Sturdy, compact, practical, and stable. Looks nice too. I could swing a bit on the pull up bar and it didnât budge a bit. I did not try purposefully swinging about a crazy amount because the room itâs in is small and there are windows. It took me about 2 hours to put together not because itâs was difficult to understand, there were simply a fair amount of steps. I am very happy with the quality and results as this is a great help to being a beginning weightlifter although my ultimate goal is to bulk up and buy a Smith Machine (which costs much more) and take this outside to have more unrestrained fun with the pull-up bar.A++++++I’ll add reviews of the add-ons to this product here, as and if I buy them.a) Cap Barbell Safety Catches / Spotter ArmsI got the red ones as red is a warning color and reminder. They are heavy duty, painted with thick enamel, and have no rust. The thin rubber pads on the top surface are glue to the painted metal and mostly stuck, but not completely, no problem though as they were screwed into the safety catches so they won’t come off regardless.I’m happy they were available as I am weak and have no spotter. These are a must to protect me.

Sturdy, Versatile and Easy to Assemble
Excellent quality and value. With this squat rack, I am able to lift weights safely in the privacy of my own home.Product was easy to assemble and fit perfectly in my garage gym. Itâs extremely versatile, not only do I use it with a barbell and weights, but there are multiple ways to use it with cables and bands as well. I mostly use it for lower body, but I can adjust the height to do pull-ups,squats, hip thrusts etc.Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase, as I was tired of crowded gyms and waiting for a rack. I can do many things with this rack without filling up my entire garage with multiple machines. Plus, it looks great!

They fit on any 2 inch square tube. Very well made and sturdy. You will bench press alone safely with these. I tested with 225lb but it would definitely withstand much more. Price is also cheap. I highly recommend if you have a 2 inch tubing bench or power rack. I drilled some 1/2 holes on mine, at desired heights and it saved me from buying a higher end power rack.

This style of dip bar would work better on a 3 inch by 3 inch rack so it would be more stable. It works though.
