Women need the protein and fat together
This product is great for marrying together protein and fat at the same time. Women need more real fat in their diets than men do. I put it in my coffee with two pats of butter, some Celtic sea salt and date sugar (cuz I just can’t stop the sugar dragon just yet). Perfect cup of yummy coffee in the AM. Extremely easy to mix with no taste or smell. The texture blends perfectly. My skin and overall health are effectively responding in a positive manner. The portion size is perfect for a cup of coffee. I will continue to buy this collagen protein.

Been using this for a couple years now
I’ve been on and off the collagen game since my 20s. I’m 37 now and I’ve been using this brand for the last couple years consistently daily. I sometimes switch to their marine collagen too.
There’s no smell (some collagens have a distinct odor) and it dissolves easily in a shaker bottle or in hot coffee. I use a little hand frother to expedite the process and it actually foams up nicely.
But does this even work? As said, I’m 37 and I have never had knee or joint pain or issues in my entire life. And for those who take it for skin, I get mistaken to be in my mid-20s all the time. So I suppose it’s doing something!

Great value! Large container. I put in my morning coffee and it dissolves very quickly. It doesnât have much of a taste to it. Will buy again!

So far, so good….
One of the things I like about this collagen mix is that it is relatively easy to mix with cold drinks. However, my favorite way to use it is by adding it to my morning coffee. I find that it dissolves well and doesn’t alter the taste of my coffee, which is a big plus for me.
In terms of results, I started noticing some improvements in my hair hydration and length, but regarding nails I have not seen any changes at all.
I believe it is too soon and I will need at least a couple of more weeks to see full results. but so far,,, so good.

My skin was starting to lack something and knees and joints were reflecting my age, so I knew this was a sign I needed more collagen. I’ve used most of the product and just went back and ordered more for auto-delivery. Use it in my coffee every day, and now my coffee seems “naked” without it. Very nice product.

The one supplement I won’t give up!
When I start a new supplement I try to make no other changes. I also try to be very patient when expecting changes. I was trying to fix my skin, joints and nails from the inside and had read that nutrition is 90% of the battle. I’m 60 years old and had been losing collagen for years. Dry skin, old hands, achy joints for way too long, dry eyes, (dry everything), bumpy alligator skin, receding gum lines, split nails. All that. After about three months of taking 1 scoop a day of the Double Wood Collagen Peptides I realized my joints felt much better. At six months the dentist remarked, after taking measurements twice, that not only had the receding of gum lines stopped – they had improved!! That’s not super sexy, but teeth are important. At a little over a year I now have improved finger nails. One nail had been split for over 10 years and is about 75% improved. Wound healing has improved, my skin is smoother and continues to improve. I no longer wake up with eyes that are so dry that it hurts to open them. As other reviewers have noted – fine lines and pores are smaller. My jowls are starting to tighten up and any signs of crepe skin are gone. My cat no longer draws blood every time he tries to play. Joint pain is minimal. I’m starting to experiment with more than a scoop a day and might update my review down the road. With results like I’ve seen it really doesn’t matter what it tastes like, though there isn’t much taste. In the beginning I would put a touch of cinnamon in my coffee also to mute the flavor but now it’s fine. The powder dissolves well. I also thought this was a great value compared to some other brands and also like that it is made in the United States.

Great Product
I started using collagen peptides recently for joint maintenance and repair. The verdict is still out as to whether or not it’s going to make a difference for me. But I haven’t been taking collagen for very long and I’m told it can take a while to notice the effects.
When I started taking collagen, I was using a different brand (Garden of Life). It has types I and III collagen has a high protein profile per serving and is supposed to be flavorless. It is not. I found that the Garden of Life product didn’t mix very well and if not diluted and/or mixed enough, would have a taste I didn’t find agreeable at all.
CONTRAST THIS WITH DOUBLE WOOD collagen peptides. First, it’s cheaper per unit than the GOL brand. Granted you don’t get as much per serving. But it mixes and dissolves into any liquid very, very well. The best part, no taste. It says it’s flavorless…and it REALLY is. Lastly, it has not only TYPE I AND TYPE III collagen, but ALSO TYPE II, and that’s the one which specifically targets joints. If you look around, you’ll discover that many of the brands don’t have type II collagen and this is probably the most important type to consume if you’re looking for joint repair and maintenance. All these factors taken together mean that for me, DOUBLE WOOD COLLAGEN IS A SUPERIOR PRODUCT. I do not understand the negative reviews I saw claiming it doesn’t mix well and tastes weird. My experience is totally the opposite of this. Mixes great. No taste. HAS TYPE II COLLAGEN. Perfect. 5 stars. Thank you Doublewood.

While not exactly tasting great this seems to be helping me with my knees with long term cartilage damage. Pain and inflammation are greatly reduced and soft tissue seems to be showing improved healing. I’m hopeful it will continue. I will continue after this container. Hydrolized collagen is showing well in scientific testing so I have a degree of confidence. Doesn’t clump, mixes with water well and is just about palatable.
