Best Phonics Readers/Great graphics
I have homeschooled my children for over 18 years. My last child has down syndrome and is non verbal. I wanted to get her used to using her Proloquo2go to read stories and also to help her learn short cvc words. I can tell you that the stories are perfect in length. The catch my daughters attention and the graphics are great. Here is the important thing! When teaching phonics you need to hear the words over and over again. There is just the right amount of times these cvc words are repeated in the stories. This will allow my daughter to learn the words better because of the amount of times they are repeated. She has to hit the button in Proloquo2go as I read the story to her. I can ask her who was the girl or boy in the story and about the story using the books as well. Non verbal children and children who can speak will love learning from these books. Mom’s will not fall alseep reading these readers either! The Charge Into Reading Decodable Readers short vowel readers a,e,i,o, and u are just the right length in the story so you don’t loose the childs attention. My daughter is 20 years old and the graphics in these books are perfect for special needs children and adults can learn to read from them too! They are well thought out and in the front of the books are the list of the words you will be reading in the books. You can make flash cards and have the children match the words with the story in the books. They can point to the words in the books as you ask questions and so you also build literacy as well as learning to read. The two go hand in hand! words in the stories are also the right size for young readers. Love these readers and will get more in the future! Enjoy them they are well worth the buying!

Great way to start letters and sound recognition
great way to start letters recognition with decoding books. The books are pretty flimsy though and could be printed on a better quality considering young children are using them.

The kids enjoy them and they are easy starter books. The activities at the end help add more to it and we enjoy that. Happy with my purchase.

I bought Stage 1 for my daughter who is in preschool. Pictures and stories are clear and well thought out. I love the activities at the end of the story, feels like kids get a full lesson in one book. I am so happy to have found these books and will be purchasing the next stages.

This is truly a great set to have. I love that the fonts are of good size and the book size is perfect for little hands. Kudos to the illustrator for lovely images. If only there can be ten sets of books in each stage. I purchased Stage 1 to 3 and planning to get all the other stages very shortly.

I have purchased the first 5 stages of these decodable texts and my students love them! Each stage is carefully sequenced so children can practise their phonics skills. There are five books in Stage 1 and each text focuses on one short vowel sound. Most of the words are consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC).As a reading intervention teacher, I love the font used in these books – the letters (and words) are nicely spaced which is always helpful for beginning readers. These books are also the perfect size for little hands (15cm x 15cm). Highly recommended!
