Great item
A bit thicker than some beard balms, this one has a bit more beeswax in the blend. This makes it a really nice balance for softening and conditioning with a little bit of hold (more than a softer balm). The smell is great!

Better than other beard balms
I’ve been searching for a go-to beard balm. I’ve tried half a dozen. So far, this is the best I’ve found. It’s lightly scented (vaguely minty) but not too strong–wife is fine with it, though it doesn’t blow her away. It feels greasy at first when applying, but dries well so that I don’t absentmindedly stroke my beard and come away with a handful of oil as with some of these products. The price is right. I wish it had a little more power in terms of taming my flyaways, but I have yet to find a beard product that really works for that, and this one does as well as other balms I’ve tried. So there may be a better one out there, but I haven’t found it yet, and will be sticking with this one for the foreseeable future!

Scent is VERY strong at first
I bought this along with the beard & face wash and the beard & stubble softener (all Distiller’s Blend). This whole product line has a very unique scent. There is this sweet, brown sugar and vanilla scent that hits real strong when you first apply it, giving way to a pleasant oak and smoke scent that is very nice. After using the other two products, the scent you’re left with really is subtle and pleasant, but… the beard balm has WAY too much of the scent in it. I even tried stirring mine up, thinking maybe it was so strong because the scent oils had settled on the top after shipping, but it didn’t help. Honestly, it’s so strong, it makes me not want to put it on (or to skip the moustache area). Like I said, it’s overall a nice scent, but for this particular product, it’s too much of a good thing, and is overpowering. The balm is good, and doesn’t stay greasy like some others, so I’ll likely buy Cremo again, but I’ll be trying a different scent next time.

Smells great and works great
My husband got this recently for his beard that heâs been growing out and that had gotten a little unruly. This smells amazing and has made his beard so soft and more tame. He was thinking trimming his beard back to what it use to be until he tried this. I love the longer beard so Iâm glad he found something that worked well for him.

I like that it nourishes my beard and keeps it soft and structured without the greasy feel of others I have tried. What I do not like is the price versus the quantity you are getting. I feel it is not proportionate to the price being charged. Would I buy it again? Probablyâ¦until some better of value comes along?

Itâs not bad, keeps the beard looking neat and tidy, keeps most of the strays at bay. My only complaint is that it makes the beard look waited down a little bit, the beard does not look as full, and there is a slight wax residue that stays on the beard, it wears down after about four hours. I think this is just the case with beard balms, Iâve switched to using beard butter instead.
