Great for coarse curly hair
I am a black man with a thick curly beard and this straightener is perfect. It does a great job of getting my beard to the lengthy straighter curly look that I need. I just put it on the 400 setting, and it is good. It doesn’t burn me either. I put some oil on my beard afterward and use a wood comb. I love this thing.

Not the product for me
I was recommended this item by my hair stylist for my hair.It took too long to heat up and the heat ended up making my hair wire-y. I think this product would be better with a little bit of airflow.
