Worth getting for readiness to read
For any kiddo ready to learn how to read and write, easy to use and reuse, nice color quality. Perfect for on the go schooling or just practice. Cards have strong quality so it’s not easy to bend. Variety of words and level of sight words.

Should not have an “ar” word for beginning reader
The color coded cards group together words with each of the 5 short vowel sounds and one extra set with mixed vowel words. Perfect for beginning learners. However, the main complaint I have is that the first short “a” word in the pack is “car”. Vowels followed by “r” have a different phonetic sound. Some call it “r controlled vowels”.Beginning learners learn short vowel sounds: a as in apple, e as in egg, i as in igloo, o as in ostrich, and u as in umbrella.I took the word “car” out of the pack since it does not have a short “a” sound.Teaching ar, er, ir, or, and ur is a different, more advanced phonetic lesson.With so many short vowel cvc words to choose from, the creators missed the mark on this one.

These are worth it!
I ordered these for my 3.5 year old daughter who knows all of her letters sounds and recently has started to practice her writing. We have also started sounding out words. When I first got these about a month and a half ago, we practice these together by using the printed side and we practiced sounding out and reading the word. She would then look at the word and copy the letters. For the past couple of weeks she gets these from our learning cabinet (to do âhomeworkâ) and she looks at the picture and starts sounding it out and writing down the letters. Itâs phenomenal to see her growth. I think itâs a good addition to any home schooling regimen to learn cvc words. They also come with little cards that are perfect to take on the go. I would recommend these without hesitation.

I’m really pleased with this set! The organization of the word groups is nice, and each word can be taken from being read sound by sound, to blending it all together, to being matched with a card with a drawing of the object, and then being written out on the back with the included dry-erase marker. They’ve even included plastic rings to bind each stack of similar words together for easy use without loss.Amazing that such a useful phonics teaching and practice tool is so inexpensive (under $12 at this time) and can fit easily into a plastic pencil-box for storage. I’ll be using this with all of my beginning readers.A+

Great set!
This is a wonderful set for a variety of things from therapy, extra home learning, home schooling, and more! I really love that each set is broken down into colors by sets with each having their own rings. It makes it less overwhelming for the child to have a smaller stack at a time. The rings help keep everything together nicely. We did have one or two duplicate cards, but we weren’t missing any that I’ve noticed. The wipe clean marker works well and erases nicely.

This is a great tool for learning CVC words and learning to read. It is great for at home practice or homeschool. Easy to connect the loops to the word cards. The word cards are good quality cardstock. Fun and easy way to learn!
