Easy to use
My child was having difficulty blending CVC words while reading text. This book helped us slow down the process and focus on blending one set of vowels at a time. I love that they are working on sounding out the words to read as well as writing them. I had my child write the words before gluing on certain activities and it seem to really help.

Tried these out with my 5.5 year old, and he was so rapt and engrossed! He asks for them in the morning to ‘draw’. I’m watching him being to point out words in other places — like “Good” or “You” and I know it’s coming from these workbooks. He thinks it’s a game/fun, but I am watching the learning happen in real time.

I’ve been using Sarah’s online resources for years, and am so excited to see her compile them into a workbook now! My newcomer ESL students love the simplicity of the illustrations, the purposeful repetition of the practice exercises, and that each worksheet makes things meaningful and comprehensible enough that with minimal supports my students can complete the activities as successful independent practice.
