Works Great but Subtle
What I appreciate about this eye cream is that it does not irritate my eyes. It goes on smoothly and provides a subtle lift for the crepey skin above the eye. However, I did not notice significant results for the area below the eyes. Consider that my undereye area is especially dry. Despite this, I continue to use the product and am on my second bottle. Like all skincare products, consistency and patience are essential. It took about two weeks for me to see noticeable improvement.

Moisturizing eye cream
This Dermalogica Phyto Nature Lifting Eye Cream is nice moisturizing eye cream. It is easy to apply and works good on my dry eye area. Also it does improve the appearance of my fine lines. Price is a bit high though.

A little goes a long way
I am no stranger to Dermalogica product, though this is the first time I try this Dermalogica Phyto Nature Lifting Eye Cream. The cream comes in a pump bottle, 15ml which is about the normal volume of eye cream. I use this only at bedtime, I pat a tiny amount on the skins around my eyes. I notice in the following morning the skin is hydrated and seems firmer, better.
This eye cream is artificial fragrance/color free, cruelty free, made in the USA.

Nice hydrating lotion
This is an eye lotion that is light, absorbs easily, can be used under make-up and provides great hydration around the eyes. I have not seen any tightening or reduction of lines or under eye puffiness, but I think at 70 yrs old, I don’t expect much without surgical help. I didn’t have any redness or irritation with using the product. The price is such that caused loss of stars as similar resulting products on the market can be found for a lot less.

This is the best eye cream I have ever used – and believe me I have tried many. Although it seems expensive you only need a very small amount ie a grain of rice size for each eye. Because of the small quantity needed each tube lasts between three and four months if used twice daily. Within a week of using it the fine lines around my eyes and the shadows underneath had visibly reduced – even my boyfriend commented on how fresh I looked and he didn’t notice when I had had eyelash extensions done!! My advice is give it a try.

I have never known a bad Dermalogica product and after trying this Phyto Nature Lifting Eye Cream I still donât! This cream has been designed to lift and firm the eye area while smoothing and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Exotic sounding ingredients such as electric daisy flower, astragalus and cassava extract have been blended with the more well-known saviour ingredients of squalane, vitamin E and pro vitamin B5, to create a high quality cream that has a luxe feel.
The cream comes in a 15ml pump bottle and you dispense a pea sized amount which you warm between your fingers before applying. Sometimes if I am in a hurry I quickly apply eye cream but not with this one. I am not sure if itâs the wonderful luxury feel, or the fact that it is expensive, that makes me do it but whatever the reasoning my whole eye area feels very nurtured after applying which can only be a good thing. As mentioned, the texture is lovely and it still feels good throughout the day. So often eye creams feel good when you apply them but if you touch the skin or so later you never know that you applied in the first place but this one feels great all day.
So, is it worth the money? As I said, itâs not cheap but if you can afford it, it is definitely worth getting. I think sometimes itâs possible to save in other skincare areas but pay a bit more for products that target areas that you are not happy with. My eye area is definitely a problem area for me but it looks and feels better since using this product. It is still relatively early days but I am very impressed by it. I will have to take a star off because of the cost but in all other ways this is a five star product, despite the four star rating!

Full disclosure, I’m going to be quite tough on this product given its price. I must also declare than I’m male, so I’m not really the target market.
Having reviewed similar beauty products before, I went into reviewing this Dermalogica Phyto Nature Eye Lifting Cream as a sceptic, and after using it for a couple of weeks, I’m still rather sceptical, though I will admit that it is effective.
As you would expect from a big brand like Dermalogica, the cream comes well presented. The 15ml pump bottle is quite small, but stylish and nicely made.
The cream has a pearly, silky, non-greasy feel. It’s quite light and fresh feeling on the skin. You generally only need one pump per application.
The big question is, “Does it work?” Well, the answer is yes, but with caveats. This cream is supposed to lift and tighten skin around the eyes. I’m in my 40s and have decent skin. Like most people of my age, I have early crows feet, a few wrinkles and the beginnings of sagging skin under the eyes. This cream does appear to help with that. My skin definitely felt smoother, a little tighter, and the fine lines were less noticeable. But, and this is a big but, I’m not the kind of person that has a very regular skin care regime. I wash my face twice daily and apply moisturiser now and again. So, I do feel that adhering to a daily moisturising regime would yield similar results.
There’s a lot of clever marketing and spurious “science” that goes on with all beauty products. Notice that Dermalogica’s “clinical proof” says tests were carried out on only 31 people over 8 weeks. Not exactly a thorough clinical test! “Clinical proof” claims are often on quite shaky ground like this.
Let’s be honest, this is a very expensive product. Yes, it does work, but I don’t feel it’s really doing anything miraculous enough, or anything significantly different from a moisturiser, to warrant its high price. A quick check on the box reveals the main ingredient is water, which gives you a clue as to how much it must cost to manufacture. It’s just a good quality, very expensive moisturiser, in my opinion. If it was half the price, I may have been kinder on it, but as it is, I can’t in all good conscience justify giving it a glowing 5 star review. The price simply can’t be justified, in my opinion.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to afford it, by all means try it. For anyone else though, stick to a regular cleanse/tone/moisturise regime and save your money.

I’ve tried countless eye creams, and this one stands out. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly, leaving my under-eye area feeling hydrated and looking brighter. It’s a subtle difference, but I’ve noticed a reduction in fine lines over time.

This Phyto Eye Cream has been used by my wife every day for the last two weeks.
Here are her observations…
1. Feels thick and luxurious
2. Has a lovely aroma
3. Leaves the eye area plumped and well moisturised
4. Smooths on like a dream
5. Efficient pump action
5. Rather expensive at £115 for 15 ml!
