Best Flash Cards EVER
These Phonics Flashcards are great. They have fun, easy graphics that my kids love, and are easy for them to associate sounds to. I used these same ones years ago and was pleased to see they updated some of the graphics to make them a little more relevant to little ones. (Jelly instead of Jacks-my kids didn’t know what Jacks were!) Love them!

pocket flash cards phonics
I purchased these flash cards for my father, who teaches a reading class. They came with a picture and the letter,to show the kids how to use the letter. He thought they were to busy for the kids, but when the teacher saw them she was delighted. I would purchase these cards again.I found out the kids love them too.So much for father knowing best!! The daughter does!!! Thank You Kindly, Annie Opper CO

Nice for party favor or holiday stuffer
A little flimsy but nice for the money. I stuffed in Easter baskets instead of candy.

“X-ray,” no capital vowels, and what about the other sounds Y commonly makes?
I was hoping to use these as part of a smaller and very basic sound wall display for my kindergarten classroom, but cannot use them as-is.First of all, the vowel cards only have the lowercase letters. Next, I would assume that they would use a word like “box” or “fox” for the letter X. It almost exclusively makes the /ks/ sound, and this is a phonics set. Yet, they chose “x-ray.” Finally, while I love that they include beginning sounds for both long and short vowels, the letter y is only included as a consonant. Y often makes the vowel sounds /Ä«/ and /Ä/.For the price, I may keep it, draw my own uppercase vowels, find an accurate phonemic example for x, and make my own extra cards for y, but I wish that a little more thought had been put into the accuracy of this set.

Although I havenât used these with students extensively as of yet, the cards seem to be as advertised. The single roubded corner allows the cards to be rotated to indicate whether a card was done correctly or there were mistakes. The only drawbacks I see are the color coding of long/short vowels and the pronunciation indicator of whether a vowel is long or short. I prefer to have students remember long/short sounds without the hints. Otherwise, these seem like great cards.
