Works great. Fairly accurate when I compare it my scale at home (both food and body scale). Only thing I don’t like is the hook on it. If they could provide the scale with a clasp instead of a hook for the fish’s mouth, then it would be near perfect. perhaps I could modify it myself, but for a product out of the box, I feel 4 stars is fair.

I bought it to weigh many things other than fish….bikes, camping equipment, etc. I just wanted to know the general weights of what I was carrying rather than guessing all the time. But I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on something that I will honestly not use all that much so this fit the bill. Is it accurate? I don’t know…is it easy to use? Yes. Is it affordable? Yes. ‘Nuff said. Buy it if you need it.

Relaible and Durable
Last scale I had was not digital, so it was not really reliable. This digital scale however, provides precise readings. Plus, it has a bit of a memory so once you take the fish off the scale, the weight doesn’t automatically zero out, giving you time to take a quick pic of the reading to prove to your buddies it really was a 4 pound (or 3.41 pound) bass. Controls are easy to use, on/off, a button for selecting weight type (pounds, kilos), and a tare button. I think there is even a function that lets you keep a total of fish weighed, but not sure and haven’t bothered with that. The hook seems to be an industry standard size, but it takes a fish or two to get the hang of hooking the fish and not hurting the gills, and we DEFINITELY don’t puncture the lip just to weigh a fish. Handle to hold it is wide enough so you can hold it easily to weigh your fish and won’t slip out of your hand. Overall, very pleased. Good tool to end the harassment of “sure it was that big” from buddies when you tell them your fish story.

Use as luggage scale
I know it says fish scale and Iâm sure it would work well for that, however we use it to weigh luggage before flying. The hook allows me to attach a bag to it and check the weight. There is also a small measuring tape in the side so I can confirm it will fit in overhead bins. Itâs easy to read and responds quickly. It seems quite accurate and is small enough to throw in the bag with the rest of your stuff.

Wish it was better quality
Bought this for weighing hay for goats (1-2 lbs at a time) and it worked great for a couple months. For about the last month or so, it has been difficult to get it to turn on. I checked/swapped the batteries, but the issue is the button itself. Probably going to have to replace it with something similar before too much longer, which I’m not exactly thrilled about.

It is a fish scale but I purchased it for weighing my luggage bags. It might be a perfect product for it is advertised but you will need a wider hook if you buy it for weighing luggage or something like that. However the scale is working perfect and is of good quality.
