When you shave every day or several times a week, you need to keep stocked with shave gel. I use this item even if my skin is not sensitive. I can’t tell you about the scent because as I can smell it that I can’t detect a scent. Using just a small amount will cover your face to shave it smooth with your best blades. I have been using this product for years in its various scents and no matter they all do the same job, to protect your face from nicks, cuts, and any other human error while shaving. I would recommend it for the price paid for 3 bottles is a good price. I would buy again when needed.

NEW FORMULA – not the old formula, watered down
I received a three-pack with the “new packaging” that says “new look, original trusted formula.” That is clearly not true. You can easily tell it’s not the same. With the old formula, even with a partially used can you could not feel the contents move when you shook the can. This new stuff sloshes in the can when you shake it. When it comes out it’s a very thin gel, closer to shampoo than gel. It does not foam nearly as well nor provide as sticky a covering as the old formula. After a shaving stroke, the old left the skin still lubricated. The new does not. And you can tell the difference when you rinse your hands or wash your face–the new stuff comes right off, you have to work a little to get the old stuff completely off. I’ve used Edge for 40 years. It was great. No change was needed. This is like new Coke. I wasted $30 and have to find something better now.
