Simple to use, Cuts well, more than just fish
Great addition to my cooking and fishing gear. The 12″ knife is a nice extra. It has good grip and balance. Nice edge on the blade. The rechargeable knife works well on fish, but also works on chicken, beef, turkey, etc. Blades are sharp so be careful cleaning and changing them in and out. It reminds me of an electric knife from the 90s, but the blade is better made and much more flexible.I recommend and would buy again.RechargeablePros:- flexible blades, easy to get around bones- Vertical cuts through the skin are simple and quick- good grip- easy to read LEDS show you how much charge is left- the lock for the trigger insures no accidentsCons:- a little more rubber on the main body would help with accidental drops- longer life battery or two batteries would be niceExtra 12″ knife- flexible and sharp- the sheath is nice added touch and breaths well- good grip

It’s a great knife set
We fish during summer months at the cabin , but also ice fish in the winter once the ice is frozen enough. This ergonomic electric knife set is just what we needed to keep it simple. I really like that it doesn’t have a carrying case, but rather a transparent waterproof bag that can be hung up. This makes it a lot less cumbersome to take with and store on our adventures.I also like that it can be used for other things beside filleting fish, such as cutting either raw or cooked meats. I haven’t had a need to test that part yet, but after using this a few times and seeing how it performs I believe it will work well.

Very awkward to use
I have big hands and found the handle to be very thick and awakward to use and not very ergonmically comfortable. And the safety switch is in a horrible place – it’s very difficult to operate. I can’t imagine how someone with smaller hands could use the knife. The blades are OK but not very good for cleaning fish which is 95% of what I use a filet knife for. It’s great that the kit comes with two batteries because it takes two batteries to clean 20 fish, meaning battery life isn’t so good. I plan to return the knife and return to using old reliable corded knife that is a 3rd of the cost.

A must have
The fact that this fillet knife is cordless is what sold me. We are so limited on outlets in our kitchen so this was perfect. I agree with the other reviewer that commented on it being heavy. It definitely has some weight to it but to me, it’s worth it to not have to deal with a cord. It cuts very well and we’ll be getting a lot of use out of it in the future, especially around the holidays. Highly recommend.

Great knife for the price
I ordered this and got it overnight. Batteries weren’t charged but not an issue. The “safety” is a pain in the!!!. Very awkward to reach. That being said the blades are sharp and it went through a bucket of perch (42)like a hot knife through butter. Never had to swap batteries. Seems to have a good long run on a single battery. I’d buy again, recommend this knife.
