A really good battery operated lantern
I definitely recommend this lantern by Energizer. It gives you two options for powering it, you can use AA or D batteries. I choose to set it up using 3 x D sized batteries. You get a 3 setting dial to choose either high, medium or low power. The amount of light it generates is excellent and appropriate to the setting you choose. It is made of a durable plastic materials and the quality is very nice. This is an excellent product offered at a fair price in my opinion. I’m very happy with this purchase.

It lasts forever on batteries
These lanterns were the best investments I made. I live in Florida and we had a huge hurricane, and my electricity was out for days. First the batteries lasted forever, and the amount of light that they gave was awesome. Just the right size and you can adjust the brightness of the lights.

nice, light and bright – could use a better way to change settings
Overall I’m pleasantly surprised by this Energizer LED Emergency Lantern. The bright setting is VERY bright and the dimmer setting is nice to use when you just need a little light, e.g., when getting ready for bed while camping. The battery life claims to be very long, though I haven’t had it long enough to corroborate its claims yet.
It seems to be very durable, because I accidentally dropped it from about 7 feet and it did not break.
My only mild complaint is that there is only one button, located on the front, which controls all the settings. It is not as easy to reach as a top button would be, and because it controls both the SUPER BRIGHT, the dim, and the flashing options, that means you have to click multiple times to get past the bright light (which may ruin your night vision) to get to the dim setting. I would have preferred a slider or a different way to select the settings.

Great lantern
Iâve had one of these for a few years and liked how well it was made and its light output. During a recent power outage that lasted for 5 days I bought 2 more of these. They were so handy to have in different rooms. Note: This lantern is not rechargeable; and uses replaceable âDâ type batteries. I wanted replaceable batteries since I would not have had a way to recharge it during the outage.

**Firstly…read the instructions people!** It clearly states 3xD cell as primary (and or 3xAA in a pinch) ..don’t try and jam both types of batteries in this lantern. **Who ever reviewed this lantern while providing pictures of their remedial attempt at jamming both types of batteries in it *at the same timeð¤ª* and then complains about it? ð¤¨

Anyway…back to my review. This thing is a tremendous improvement over the old Coleman double mantle white fuel lantern from back in the early 20th century and or the double fluorescent tube bulb from the late 80’s-vintage into the 2000’s. This modern versions intended use is for home power outage or for car camping where weight,size and portability aren’t a requirement. It isn’t large nor is it small(see dimensions and specifications in description. With that mind let’s delve deeper! With the (intended) D sized batteries running this efficient led lantern running on the D cell batteries it will last for days on the medium setting! On the high setting *1st click* its 360° lighting pattern easily lights up a large room in a way similar to a ceiling light on high dimmer setting. On the medium setting *2nd click* its comparable to a 60watt equivalent led table lamp. Being an led lantern its led’s color is bright white…which is tamed a bit by it’s frosted diffuser lens. The 3rd click is a nightlight setting which has a more pleasant yellowish orange hue with the brightness and feeling very much like candle light on the candlelight setting you could probably run this thing 24/7 for a couple of weeks,maybe longer!
For $20 this is a good value seems well built and has the ability to use EITHER
D cell or AA batteries for it’s power source. *The AA batteries of course reducing it’s run time compared to the larger capacity D cell batteries* For me its performance and the versatility of being able to use EITHER ‘D’ sized or AA sized batteries made this purchase a no brainier!

Nice Little Lantern
Mom’s rec room lights went out & I purchased these little lanterns so the electrician could see to set up.
It’s a neat little light. It has a high setting, medium and nightlight. It’s not like my 300amp Halogen work lamp nor is it supposed to be. However with the power out, this latern definitely lights the way. I particularly like that it takes either 3 ‘D’ Batteries OR 3 ‘AA’ Batteries.
No matter which Batteries are in the house, as long as there are 3 of them of equal size I’m good to go.
NOTE — Please Do NOT use all 6 Batteries at once.
The casing is hard plastic and should last a good while. I also set it high on a shelf so my Mom can see better at night without the ceiling light. It casts a soft bright light without yielding a blinding glare.
It’s definitely a Buy. Absolutely. Works well. Batteries load easily and seems to last a good while. The price is also nice.

My daughter likes that it’s an Energizer. Probably subliminal comfort reminding them of the Flashlights we used on trips when they were younger & they played with the funny toy Energizer Bunny in the car.

Piece of garbage flickers constantly
This piece of garbage is not reliable at all. There is some kind of switch or contact that is loose and causes it to randomly turn off and on. When I first tested it after purchasing it was fine and stayed on. Pulled it out to use it and now itâll be steady then just randomly go off and on. Do not recommend. Stay away. There are people saying âoh ignore the negative reviews they put the batteries in wrongâ – I put 3 D cells in just like the picture shows on the product. Iâve reached out to see if Energizer will actually make this right with the warranty they say this product has.

My Dad bought me one of these years ago and it is still working perfectly. Itâs a rugged little light but not heavy and itâs got a great handle to carry it around. Itâs got different light settings (bright, dim, even an orangy nightlight one) Iâve mostly used it for power outages but Iâve taken it camping and on a few adventures⦠Iâve also since had kids as well and itâs been bumped, tipped and dropped and still keeps on working. Itâs by far my favourite lantern. Also, the batteries seem to last forever so itâs not draining power by any means. I saw this one on Amazon so I grabbed another one to have a couple for power outages (as my kids are afraid of the dark and freak out if they donât have nightlights in their rooms) so this fits the bill perfectly. I also find it lights up my living room perfectly when the power is out. My Mom loved mine so much, she went and got herself one too lol.

Cuenta con diversas entradas para diferentes tipos de pilas, por lo que si no cuentas con alguna de ellas podrias usar otro tipo para que si puedas usarlas.
Cuenta con varios modos de uso. e impermeable.
El asa con el que cuenta te permite dejarlo en un lugar alto, lo cual es muy conveniente.

Awesome lantern if you can get D cells for cheap, otherwise expensive to run often.
Be careful with NiMH batteries as their is no voltage cut off and it will over discharge them, my $25ea D cell batteries ($75 worth) have had their capacity greatly reduced by accidentally doing this a few times.
