I Love This Cot!
Ever since I first saw this style of cot design on a YouTube survival video, I’ve been searching for one. The cantilevered locking mechanism which stretches the fabric to the tension of a drumhead, is nothing short of brilliant. It’s not only effective at setting tension with a reassuring “click”, it is quick to deploy and offers two height options. I prefer the taller option which is around 16″. Without legs it sits at 8″. For me at least, it’s easier to get in and out of at 16″, and provides a little extra security from unwanted wigglies that may crawl under it at night.The cot is true to the listed size at 87″ x 28″, which means this a very long cot – 7.25′ from end to end. That’s much longer than I need for sure, but nice for those who are taller. However, it is certainly something to consider if setting this up inside a tent, make certain you have the room! I weigh around 175lbs and no hint of problems. Of course I can’t speak knowledgeably to the rated higher limit of 330lbs, but if you don’t bounce or jump on it, I’m sure it will be fine. The stitching is very good.When packed in the included bag, the overall length is just 24″L x 8″ in diameter. The carrying bag is nice with a good metal zipper and a seperate drawstring bag to store the legs.According to my luggage scale, this weighs 8.4 lbs. A little heavier than the listed weight of 7.2. Not sure if they’re weighing with with legs on? Either way, this in not something I would plan on backpacking with. It’s really made to throw in your trunk or pickup on the way to camp. I have a nice memory foam pad that truly makes for a comfy nights rest as I’m a side sleeper and with the pad, I have no shoulder problems, even though the top is stretched tight as a drum.Overall this is a screaming buy at under $100, and far more compact when stowing than my other accordian style cot. For those of you who are tall, you’ll especially enjoy the length of this one. Overall it checks all the boxes and then some on my wish list.

Not Inexpensive, but Packs into a Fairly Small Package
Everything is true to the advertisement, including the price tag…Finally got a chance to take this out, my middle little (13) had a bit of trouble figuring out the legs, but after I showed him, it flowed well. It went together smoothly after that, but it oddly came apart WAY harder.Some sand and dirt got in there between the legs and where they connect to the long poles. I thought they had rusted at first, but it turned out that the grit and gravel somehow made their way in and added that extra bit of tension that made it a chore to pull apart. But otherwise, straight forward cot system that packs away into a fairly small footprint. If I were just backpacking, I’d think twice about bringing this along, but if I was driving to my site, i’d have no regrets with this.I’m comfortable recommending to anybody who is aware of the price of still wants it; there are less expensive alternatives out there (and on the marketplace).

This cot is quite easy to set up, and can be used with or without the extra legs for two different height options. The quality of materials is good, and the stitching straight. It all packs up into a small bag that’s easy to store.

While this does work as advertised it is not an easy thing to assemble and then take back apart if you plan on camping in several locations. Lot of working pieces that can get lost and then what ? So based on that alone I will not give it. super high score.I think would be fine for a kids sleep over or setting up for a long vacation but not for a simple overnight stay

Slow to get set up
Being 56, I’m not as keen on sleeping on the ground as I used to be and have discovered the joy of bringing a cot camping when possible. This cot can easily be stashed in a vehicle if you’re driving to a campsite but it’s still to big and bulky to carry it on a foot/backpacking trip.The 87″ (7’3″) length makes it useful for big guys like me (6’5″ & 240lbs). It doesn’t have end-sticks so it does sag a little in the middle. Considering the difficulty in setting it up, two extra sticks would have been worth it.As other have mentioned, this is not quick and easy to set up. I’ve had tents that go up fast than this cot! Getting all the legs into the proper, latched position takes a fair amount of finagling, especially when adding the leg extensions to raise the cot. Note, you’ll probably want to get something to places under the cot’s feet to avoid poking holes through your tent floor.All in all, this is a good cot made from sturdy materials but not one you’d want to assemble & disassemble every day. This is for when you’ll be in the same spot for several days, whether in the woods or crashing in a family member’s basement during a visit.

Kind of complicated to put together
So this cot was surprisingly confusing to assemble however the ability to break down the entire frame has its perks. I have another cot that does not disassemble like this and it remains bulky, so that’s something. Once assembled it seems VERY sturdy, and the material is good quality. It also comes with a carrying bag which aids in keeping all of the pieces together.

I decided on this low-to-ground backpacking cot offered by brand NIGHT CAT because it is very low to the ground while still remaining a half a foot or so apart from the surface, but has recently been upgraded to be a little bit more durable and provide a little extra length. The distance from the ground is is amazing for low-temperature camping trips where you prefer to pack very light but still want to ensure you have the maximum protection against the winter elements in an effort to avoid cold chills at night, and the extra length of this cot ensures I get a good night’s sleep despite my entire 6 foot height.This cot packs up neatly and becomes as small if not smaller than any cot I’ve used before, coming in at a respectable 8LB so not too heavy, while still being a great compliment for someone who wants that extra bit of comfort. The bag is is stored in is constructed of the same durable ripstop fabric as the rest of the cot pad itself, so it feels very resilient.The frame also seems as solid as any I have used in the past; strong hard plastic and metal anti-slip design that will hold even heavier weights without issue. The frame doesn’t pop into shape immediately â you have to stick a few pieces into their appropriate spots before it is structurally sound. But that only takes a few moments, and you’re good to go.The version I ordered came in black, and I am not sure if the brand offers other colours at this time, but this is a very minimalist, nondescript color that matches with pretty much any other equipment. I mean, a cot doesn’t really need to stand out for any reason. Altogether this is a very compact but also durable solution that I am super pleased to add to my camping kit for my adventures. 5 stars.

This is a great camping cod for many reasons. Firstly, the form factor is great. When folded, it’s small enough so you can easily carry it around and depending on your backpack, you could either store it inside or hang it on the bottom. Also, when it’s open, it’s surprisingly big: 87″x28″. So you get plenty of space to sit, sleep, etc.With cod like this, the main concern is their stability and sturdiness. This cod has 4 frame poles and is very sturdy. It only weighs about 8 lbs, but the ad says it can hold up to 330 lbs, which is great. Also, the frame poles seems to be made of aluminum. Generally, aluminum is strong but also lightweight, which makes this product a great choice for camping.Another feature that’s quite nice about this cod is that you have the option of choosing the height of the cod: low or high. There are different use cases for each, and also different people have their own preferences. So having the option is great. Setting up is also easy and fast. Takes a few minutes, and all you have to do is to snap the legs into place and lock them. So overall, I highly recommend this for campers out there.Thank you. I will start reviewing it shortly. This camping bed is quite sturdy and comfortable. Itâs also light so itâs easy to carry around. Itâs longer than I expected but thatâs a good thing for tall people. Itâs also plenty wide for me to lie comfortably on it.There are many pieces and at first I was a little daunted but really if you follow the instructions itâs easy. If you are taking it camping it is worth practising a couple of times to make sure you remember the steps. The only step that caught me the first time was inserting the side rods. I pushed them through the fabric loops expecting I could just stretch the top one into place once all the others are in place but itâs too tight. There is a small slot in the top loop that you need to put the bar through and then it can be stretched to fit. The frame cross bars use a lever with two release buttons to secure themselves into place but you need to press down the lever with your thumb and then press the buttons to release the lever when disassembling the cot. The instructions make this clear but I was jumping ahead and thought I knew better.When fully assembled you will sleep about 16 inches off the ground. There are legs that click into the frame and you can use it without them if you want to be closer to the ground and save some weight by not carrying them. My preference is to use them but Iâm not bringing this backpacking, weâre using it as a spare bed or on car trips.

The “Night Cat Camping Cot Bed” is a quality built camp cot. It measures in at 27″ wide, and a whopping 7’3″ long. If you are super tall, you might need that extra length, but for an average sized person it can be problematic. If you are using in a cabin/guestroom, then of course the length is not an issue. A shame however that it won’t fit in my 2-man tent– it is so nice and light and yet very stable, and with the lower leg setting I was looking forward to using for tenting, but likely not an option with my current setup. Minus one star for that, but otherwise a very solid product. Would strongly recommend (as you should do with any equipment) to do a dry run setup at home before taking on an excursion. It isn’t particularly difficult to do following along with the directions, but if I was doing it in low light and not reading directions I would have struggled the first time. I was pleasantly surprised just how stable the thing is, even with the taller legs installed. I am a bit of a flailing and “wide” sleeper, so did find the side rails a bit uncomfortable, but perhaps no more so than any other cot I have used.

The pros of this cot is that it’s pretty light and fairly compact. It would be great for hiking or kayak camping and has a very small form factor when not set up. The con is that it’s very long at a little over 7 foot. This would make it to long to fit in most 2 to 4 man tents so that’s a bit of an issue.
