Beautiful and worth the buy! Thick too!
Beautiful and great! I see what people mean about the smell, but the smell does not bother me. It just smells new and a little like rubber but it doesnât smell bad. This is my first Gaiam mat; before this I was buying a generic one through Amazon I think called Yoga Accessories. This Gaiam is only $2 more and seems like itâs better quality. But I will add that I mainly use it as a workout mat as opposed to a yoga mat, so I canât speak to the slippery aspect as much.

Great mat, beautiful colors
I had gotten this item for christmas many years back in the green. When I relocated I left it behind and gave it to my sister. I then decided it was time for a new one. I got this mat and it is everything I need for yoga. It is long enough and sticky enough. The best feature though is its thickness. At 5mm, it is thick enough that the points of pressure when doing downward dog and other moves, do not hurt as much. Definitely a good mat for the price.

A Little Slippery
I’ve had this yoga mat for about a month now, and I practice regularly but not daily (about three times per week). I like its balance between weight and thickness, which makes it quite portable as well as comfortable to use on a variety of floor types. Downsides are the smell and slipperiness. The rubbery, new smell took a couple of weeks to wear off, and it’s still slipperier than I would have expected at this stage. I anticipate that it will get stickier over time as usual, and overall I’m happy with the mat.

Long lasting mat
This is my 2nd mat from this company. I used my first one for 7 years in exercise class. Itâs a little worn but never peeled and is still useable. They arenât as thick as some mats but still comfortable.

Great Yoga Mat — Nice and Thick
I love this yoga mat. I made one of my bedrooms into my yoga studio for zoom classes. I love that GAIAM makes such great yoga products. This is no exception. Highly recommend.

My very first purchase of a yoga mat and I’m so happy I’ve grabbed this one!I have Fibromyalgia (aka I have chronic wide spread pain; my knees and hips being the worst), so having this extra cushion-y mat has been great. (Lying on side however is not as cushy)Only downside so far is, it is quite stinky once unravelled. I had it out on our clothes line for a few hours though and it’s much better. Also if you were buying this because it’s blue, it’s not really. It’s a very light purple. Or at least mine is. But to be honest! I actually wanted a purple mat, so it works out hahaA side note, for whatever reason a sticker was placed onto the writing where the free yoga session is, it was a pain to get off I tell ya. Maybe move it elsewhere next time for future people.For those who do heavy duty yoga, I don’t see why this wouldnt be a great mat. It sticks very well! It hasn’t moved around at all for me. Bare in mind I do only do lighter yoga poses hahaOverall a great mat! Would buy again and would recommend!
