Smells fantastic, great product, great brand!
This company puts out some of the best beard care products. They made a life-long customer out of me the first time I bought from them, but this set is incredible. The scent is like a sweet bay rum/tobacco and I’m in love with it. Besides the smell, the product does what it’s supposed to, makes your beard smell and feel great and moisturizes your skin. Do you want a manly, managable, & magnificent beard?
I bought this for my hubby, whose amazing beard was worth buying product for. First of all, a little goes a long way. Hubby had to adjust the amount he was using as the first few times he went a little overboard. The smell is heavenly. Really masculine and I was really pleased with it.
What I noticed: my Hubby’s beard is very coarse and curly, and this stuff tamed the curl and made the beard softer, less bristley. It had a healthy shine to it without looking greasy (unless you do not heed my aforementioned warning on usage). My hubby loves this stuff and thanks me constantly for treating him to it (it’s pricey but oh so worth it). My theory is if you’re going to have magnificent, Norse-god worthy facial hair, then you need to care for it properly. Men, you deserve it. And ladies, your bearded manly man will love this, it makes a fabulous gift!
P.S. I ran out of leave in treatment on a road trip and used a tiny bit of this on my hair….my hair smelled like my husband and was so soft I wanted to cry.

Beard oil was good, beard balm not so muchâ¦
The scent of the beard oil is excellent, and it really works well keeping my beard moisturized. The beard balm also works as a beard softener, but there is virtually no scent, which is quite disappointing.

Great Products!
These are great products! Iâve been having a difficult time getting any kind of length on my beard without it frizzing out and looking scruffy and unkept. Ran across this product while searching beard oils and the art and flavors drew me in. The package arrived a couple days before Christmas, which was good timing due to holiday travels. I immediately started applying the balm, which was a little difficult at first until I figured out to allow it to melt between my fingertips before applying. This allowed my beard and mustache to relax and soften and made it more trainable. The smell was great! Kind of a spiced Dr. Pepper smell. I was very pleased with it, but my wife absolutely loved it! For as good as the balm is, I found myself using the oil much more often. I tend to use the balm on special occasions, but the oil I apply on a daily basis. A few drops applied on the beard and mustache and spread evenly with a fine toothed comb does the trick. Using this, my beard has finally stopped frizzing out and started to achieve more length and fullness. I also had issues with my skin drying and flaking under my beard, but havenât had this problem since using these products. Just little goes a long way! So use sparingly.

Great product, but smells like Vanilla Cherry Dr. Pepper, not cigars.
So most of us already know that GBS stuff is high quality, and keeps your beard soft and mostly tame (though personally I wish it held a little better as I have curly hair), but most want to know about the scent. It smells just like vanilla cherry Dr pepper. Its not a bad smell, but is VERY sweet.It does last all day too. So while I love the product and will use it till its gone, I’ll be looking for slightly more “manly” scent on re-order.
5 Stars for the product itself, 3.5 for the scent.
***UPDATE*** After having worn this for a couple months I have started to pick up the cigar scent. It comes on after you’ve worn it for a few hours, but it’s definitely there. New scent score of 4.2

Very good product, but the scent is definitely not cigar or vanilla. Personally, I don’t pick up any of those. Is definitely closer to Dr. Pepper as some other reviews alluded to. I pick up a lot of cinnamon. It’s not a bad scent, just not what I paid for. As for the quality, I love it! The balm is one of the best I’ve tried. Would I buy again? Yes! Being in Canada, the only problem is the $20 shipping fee for a $45 order, even with Amazon Prime. If I see it in store I will buy it again, but not worth the shipping fee.
