One week in, we are still impressed by power and design, but there are frustrating flaws…
Ergonomics 3/5: There is a “non-descript” grip-space between the motor air intake at the bottom of the handle, and the air speed/temperature buttons on the top of the handle where you need to hold this hair dryer. It is very easy to partially cover the air intake or accidentally touch the temperature button. Every time I dry my hair I accidently tap the temperature button and will have the hair dryer go from hot to cold air. Somewhat frustratingâ¦Heating Power 4/5: On the highest setting, this is noticeably less hot than our old-school conventional hair dryer at only 1400W (vs. 1875W for our old one). You can tell it doesn’t get as hot. It’s not that it doesn’t get hot enough, it just takes longer to get there.Efficiency 3/5: The attachment that allows you to create a more targeted/directional stream of air attaches magnetically. I do have concerns that the heat of the hair dryer will eventually fatigue the neodymium magnets, and make the attachment fall off. In addition, the attachment is not well designed as it is very restrictive – there ends up being a substantial net-loss in air flow when you use it.Air speed 2/5: This thing blows! And does so with very little noise. It reminds me a lot of our Dyson V8 vacuum. The sound is less of a whine and more of a rush of air. Much more pleasing to the ear drums. I am not left with ringing ears after a hair drying session, unlike traditional hairdryers. The problem we have with the air speed is that itâs simply too high on the “low” setting. We both have thin hair, and the lowest speed does not let you “freeze” your gelled hair style in place, instead, everything gets blown around ruining your style. This is the MAIN reason we cannot keep this hair dryer.

A Dyson alternative this is not. This thing turned out to be total junk. Within six months the front attachment came apart, the magnets to hold that attachment to the unit have broken, and the backside is coming unglued and separating. Steer clear fellow Amazon purchasers, save your money for something that has any quality. ð

I used my daughter’s Dyson when she visited my house and when I stayed with her everyday for 2 weeks. I’ve only ever possessed older Conair’s through the years. The loudness of my dryer has been wearing on my nerves, so I ‘ve been researching and considering options. I even tested some of the dryers on display at Ulta. I wear my hair in a long pixie, so the strong air flow of the Dyson gave me the root lift I like, achieving a slightly spiky look with a little added product. I decided to try this cheaper dryer over the Dyson. I am delighted everyday I use this dryer. It is very attractive. Air flow is GREAT., seems comparable to a Dyson, even though I have not had them side by side. Cord is sturdy and not too long and heavy which is the way the Dyson cord felt to me. The controls are simple and provide all the options I would ever need, which is two heat settings, one cool and two options for force of air. There is a lint cleanout on the handle and it is NOT LOUD. There is only one magnetic attachment for directing air flow which is all I need. No curly hair diffuser. Absolutely one of my best purchases for a daily use tool!

i had to return this because it is not a very good quality hair dryer in my opinion. it makes my hair feel like straw and creates lots of knots all over and when i am done drying it never feels fully dry, and makes my hair feel greasy? i ended up having to return, i instead invested in a panasonic one and it makes all the difference, no knots, and my hair is super smooth and healthy-looking now.
