The only hair curler I’ll ever use!
I first bought this curler in Canada at a Winners a decade ago. For years it’s been a constant in my hair routine, and I’ve really come to learn how to use it to its strengths. It’s smooth ceramic length is fantastic for sliding along your curl and making sure all segments of your hair feels the right amount of heat. I’ve found this doesn’t happen as smoothly with other curlers – my hair will get caught or snap when I’m trying to move it down the length of the curler. The temperature control is a nice feature but I’ve always left it around 380 – it’s my sweet spot. It heats up quick and cools down fast too. It’s slim and super easy to travel with. I can’t say enough good things about this curler. My first curler ended up failing on me randomly, it just failed to heat up one day right before I moved to the US, so one of the first things I did when I moved was to track this product down and order another one. Ten years of life is amazing for a hair product!! And this is better value than most of those other overpriced hair tools out there.

This iron gets up to temperature fast. Very easy to use & comfortable weight in the hand. The swivel cord works better than any I have EVER had allowing you to move in any way necessary as you style. Love the shiny curls, it leaves my hair very healthy looking=)The box was in perfect condition when I opened the package. I noticed that they included 2 extra springs as that is usually the first thing to go on any iron. I LOVE that they’ve included 2, that tells me that they stand behind the quality of their products & fully expect this iron will last for a very long time. I typically have to replace springs in 4-5 years, that said I wouldn’t be surprised if this iron lasts me for 10! From the time I was little I can remember my grandmother styling her hair with a curling iron from Helen of Troy & my very first curling iron was that brand. Their products were top notch & her hairdresser highly recommended them. I never really knew what happened but the brand seemed to disappear. I noticed on the outside of the box it said HOT TOOLS by Helen Of Troy!!!! It’s a miracle, so happy to know I have a quality product for a reasonable price. You can not go wrong with this curling iron. or ANY Hot Tools product for that matter=)

I have used this curling iron for years. After at least 6 years(I actually think itâs longer, but canât remember how long), the wire on my old one wore out so I ordered this new one. It works great and is perfect, as far as Iâm concerned. Heats up fast, comfortable in my hand, and obviously lasts for a long time. I will keep getting this model as long as they make them.

It’s long enough to handle my long hair and gets hot enough. My only complaint is it sometimes does not grip the hair enough so my hair slides back out.

Seems like a Quality Iron
I accidentally left my curling Iron at my daughter’s house in another state. I decided it better to just purchase another curling iron vs paying to ship my old one to me. I have fine and thinner hair so I knew I wanted a ceramic iron. This one is great so far. Have only used it a few times, but it seem to do a great job – I have had no problem with it holding the curl (but then I do use hairspray because if I didn’t – nothing would keep a curl in my hair – I have board straight hair)! I would definitely buy this again – recommend this iron if you are looking for a ceramic iron that delivers a nice soft loose curl. I purchased the 1 1/4″ size.

Will Never Use Again
I have another hot tools curling iron that I really like and use regularly. I purchased this one simply because I wanted a different barrel size, however I have had several poor experiences with it and will never use it again. I have tried it several times on a lower heat setting than their other curling iron and it severely burnt sections of my hair in a frizzy mess. In addition it never even held a curl. I ended up cutting off 6 inches of my hair and will have to wait till it grows out to cut off the rest of the damaged hair. I did write the company requesting a refund and did not receive a response.

This is my second Hot Tools curling iron in about 30 years. My first one still works, but does not have the ceramic coating, which makes your hair glide so smoothly through the iron. I had bought a Hot Shot Tools iron with the ceramic coating several years ago, which also still works, but it is not as smooth as the Hot Tools. This could be due to the iron being older, but I am very happy with my new Hot Tools purchase. The price was very competitive compared to the Hot Shot Tools price that I found online while searching for my new iron to replace one that was lost in our RV in a wildfire last summer. I actually decided to keep the new one at home and put the old one in our RV!
