What a touching and important story of resilience, acceptance, and how our differences can offer us new perspectives on life. I love that the author included questions to ask the reader in the back and a link to download free coloring pages to make a whole activity out of it! Our kids loved it. I wish I could give this book a million stars. It is such a beautiful story. The way the author portrays her family is so relatable. This book could be used to explain special needs children to typical children. I have a special needs daughter as well and this truly touched my heart reading to my girls. For a child, this is a great lesson but as a parent, it goes deeper. This book really puts in perspective what we take for granted in life and that the love we share is what truly matters!
