Solid and Readable Science
Iâm into brain books. My personal library has nearly a dozen, from scholarly texts to popular, from brain injury to legal defense issues. This is one of the best. The science is sound and up to date. The writing is excellent. The illustrations are informative. Highly recommend.

Lots of interesting information
Lots of interesting information. This is a subject that the general public knows little about. Many billions of neurons(nerve cells) sending messages and instructions from our brains. Sent by electrical and chemical means on to other neurons and on and on. And then neurons in the heart and gut not only react to those messages but are also capable of returning some information back to the brain. It cant be explained how this all developed and probably we will never know. Our brains have developed to the point that we can reason and plan and understand complexity. We do know that not only is life subject to change…but invites change. Change is a requirement in all life. That is all we know now. I would like to know more, but no one knows those answers. All we can do is refine and study the information that is available. Who knows what the human brain will be capable of in 1000 years…or a million years. I suspect that the brain will be very different. I read through this book and as time allows I will try to study it in greater detail. My brain tells me that I should do that. The human brain is the most complex thing on this earth.
