This is a great book to teach about empathy and friendship. And not just that – Max probably had some friends already but he still stood up to them to defend someone they bullied. So I think this book is about courage too. Max was of pure heart, not afraid to say whom he liked and not afraid to defend them. His empathy was great.Also, my compliments for the illustrations. Excellent Book
This is a great book to read as a conversation starter for young children. It touches on so many things as stated in the title “Empathy, Kindness and Friendship”. Max is a special boy who takes everyone’s feelings to heart and tries to make them feel special. I loved the story. It is beautifully illustrated and is perfect for children from preschool all the way up to primary. Harrison has done an excellent job on this book. It is engaging and draws you in. I read it to some children who loved the pictures and asked some serious questions about. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers alike.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.Max is an exceptional child. He has empathy for others, so he is very kind. For example, when he sees a girl who broke her glasses when he and his parents are at the aquarium, he tells her that he understands why she feels bad and hopes that her day will get better. And when a new student comes to their school, he makes quick friends with him because he knows how it feels to be the new kid. His parents are so proud of him!I Feel with my Heart is presented in rhymes, and the illustrations are bright and colorful. The rhyming and illustrations will keep the attention of children. I like books like this one. Itâs not only a book that children want to read, but it teaches them as well.
