Super sturdy functional running generator cover
Fits perfectly on my Westinghouse wgen9500DF and looks like it will protect it nicely when stored or in use super convenient to use as wellI think carabineers would be a more secure way to hold the flaps up then hooks but haven’t had an issue yet but could be small improvement to ensure flaps don’t undone when up while it’s in use during high winds

This a great fitting pretty universal cover
I put this together and installed on our Westinghouse wgen11500 tfc in about an hour. This cover fits perfectly. Great quality and engineering. The box was so small I thought it was the wrong package. Has a stout tubing frame and a nice insulated cover. If it holds up well, I will give it 6 stars.

Good cover
Likes… the frame comes in several pieces but the instructions were great. It came with extra pieces of fasteners just in case. It fits my duromax 13k perfectly. It’s a little bigger than what’s needed but that’s a good thing. The generator runs very hot. The frame of the cover fits nicely over the generator frame. The side drop to cover the electric panel which is great for rain protection. The other three sides are folded up and out od the way. The handles are easily accessible as well as the gas cap and fuel gauge. I would buy again.Dislikes… the clips for the sides don’t secure well when the sides are folded up. It’s not a deal breaker. When the sides are folded up, I imagine it’s going to catch and hold rain water. It didn’t rain while using it for five days but I can see that happening. This is a great purchase. It’s easy to put together. Just go step by step with the instructions.

Great sturdy cover
This generator cover seems pretty sturdy. It went together in about 20 minutes. I haven’t had a chance to test it outdoors to see how well it keeps the rain out yet. Since I live in Florida, I’m sure I will be testing it out before the end of hurricane season. We just missed the landfall of Debby and only lost Poer for 1.5 hrs. so I didn’t hook up my generator this time.

Excellent!
Exactly what I expected, at a fair price (on sale). Seems durable and functional, and the instructions were adequate.

Quality Material
Even though this is a “universal” fit, it covers my Onan 9500 watt generator perfectly. Well designed and was fairly easy to put together. Once fitted on the generator, everything is sturdy and also easy access to control panel and gas tank.

High quality compact generator cover
There are no Cons to this cover, but I will list the things that may make a difference to those who think they should get instant gratification. This is not a 10 minute, unpack it, throw it over the generator, roll it back in the shed deal. By time you read the instructions, which are decent, but could be better, lay out the parts, put the frame together, attach it to the generator and the figure out how to actually (I will tell you how later) put the cover on the frame and add in some practice time for polishing up on some of your not safe for company language, about two hours will have past, but you will feel good when you see the finished product. Now for the helpful hints, When you put the pipe frame together, put a wrap of either electrical or friction tape around each connection as you go. I read somewhere that IGAN was solving this by putting indents in the pipe joints so they stay together. The tape holds it together and still leaves it flexible so it lays over the generator frame. Next the Velcro strips that hold the frame of the cover to the generator frame are not well thought out by IGAN. They have a pull through slot, but you can’t pull them tight and then pull it back the opposite direction which holds the connection tight while you secure the Velcro as they put the Velcro hook on the same side of the strap as the loop, so you have to either twist the strap to hook it, which will work or just pull it tight and hold the tab with your thumb to keep it tight while you hook it. You can use zip ties, but make sure that you you keep the tabs down so they can’t cut the cover.Next is attaching the cover. This attaches with the Velcro flaps and straps. This is really strong Velcro and if you have old arthritic hands like I do, you will need a couple of pairs of pliers to pull open the flaps and the straps. Be careful with the straps, because if you just give them a rip, you will pull then out. Work them open slowly. The rest is easy, just place the cover over the generator, making sure that the swing up section of the top is over the end where the tank filler cap is, then just pull the straps and flaps tight around the pipe frame and secure the Velcro. The cover adds very little to the storage space that the generator takes up, so when you aren’t using it, it works as a cover. The side that covers the electrical panel can remain down during operation. The other three flaps roll up and have hooks to secure them. If you have to run the generator in severe weather you can pull the flaps out on a 45 degree angle and have sufficient ventilation for the motor and generator, but you would have to devise your own method of holding them there, such as stakes in the ground to attach them to.I don’t think it adds much to noise suppression. It is a tough cover that should last a long time, even if it is left outside in the sun. It doesn’t add storage height or is susceptible to high winds, like a tent cover is. It will give you peace of mind when your generator has to run in a driving rain or snow storm. Nothing is perfect, but I think this IGAN generator cover is well engineered, and a good value.

great cover
This is a great cover! The assembly instructions were very easy to follow with real pictures. Took me about 20 minutes to assemble. I recommend using eletrical tape at each connection and a little lube putting the metal tubes into the plastic connectors. This cover is worth every penny. No need to spend the extra money for tie downs. This cover isn’t going anywhere! Oh ya, it looks great to!! I highly recommend this cover.

I just purchased this cover for my Champion 11250 generator and received it the next day. The cover is of great quality and the installation was very easy. Those instructions are the best I have seen in a long time. Clear English and great pictures. The cover fits perfectly and is very sturdy on the generator. I ran the generator yesterday to see how the cover would work. It is easy to open (and to keep open with the hooks) and does not interfere with the operation of the generator at all. I am very happy with the purchase.

Takes a little time to assemble but not difficult, many options that allow you to lift certain parts of the cover as needed, to add oil and gas. Will offer protection against snow and rain, and dust when stored.

I have a Powerhouse inverter generator and have been looking for a solid cover for some time now. We’ve tried tarps, makeshift covers or anything simple to protect it. Sure there are several covers on the market, however, many of them are made very cheap. This cover (although pricy) is very well made. The cover’s material is the big selling feature. It’s well made, thick and seems like it should last some time. The frame is “ok” though. It’s nice and lightweight, but the poles are made of very thin metal and the plastic components are tight and easy to crack if you aren’t careful with your assembly. A gentle touch is recommended here.Although my particular generator was not on their list of models, it still suits it quite well. As you can see from the photos, there is a decent overlap on each end. This is particularly useful for the exhaust side as it is far enough away to not heat up the material. The control side is still easily accessed and the overlap is helpful here for any larger extensions that you may have protruding. It keeps them covered from the elements. You can easily fold the flaps back down over an extension without it propping up the flap. The top flaps fold up on either side to access your fuel port. I’m lucky that mine is offset and not directly in the center as this cover doesn’t allow for easy access to center fuel caps. All the other flaps fold up nicely and are easily secured in place with the included hooks. The velcro is also quite strong keeping everything in line. There is a more expensive version of this cover and after looking more closely the only difference is that it includes tie down ropes and stakes to secure in strong wind. You can easily make your own and save a few bucks. The cover does go on sale once in a while. It is an expensive cover when you compare it to other options out there, however, this one is well made and has several nice touch options that make it worth the price. Overall, if you’re looking for a solid cover that will protect your expensive generator from the elements for years to come, this is the one to pick.Pros:Thick, protective materialEasy to assemble/disassembleCan fit or adjust to pretty much any type of generator. They include several velcro straps to tie down the frame to your generatorCons:Frame is very lightweight and easy to bendPlastic components crack easy if you force too much (just assemble carefully)Generators with center fuel caps will be more difficult to fill
