Accurate and Convenient: iHealth AIR Rechargeable Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
I’ve been using the iHealth AIR Rechargeable Fingertip Pulse Oximeter for a few weeks now, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. This compact and sleek device provides accurate readings of blood oxygen saturation levels and pulse rate, which are essential for anyone monitoring their health regularly.Design and Build QualityThe design is both modern and practical. It’s small enough to carry around in a pocket or bag, making it perfect for on-the-go monitoring. The build quality is excellent, with a sturdy feel that gives confidence in its durability.Accuracy and PerformanceAccuracy is paramount for medical devices, and the iHealth AIR does not disappoint. I compared the readings with those from my doctor’s office, and the results were consistently precise. The oximeter uses advanced technology to deliver reliable measurements within seconds.Rechargeable ConvenienceOne of the standout features of this oximeter is its rechargeable battery. Unlike other models that require frequent battery changes, the iHealth AIR can be easily recharged using a USB cable. This not only saves money on batteries but is also environmentally friendly.User-Friendly InterfaceThe interface is straightforward and easy to navigate. The OLED display is bright and clear, showing readings in a large font that is easy to read even for those with poor eyesight. The one-button operation makes it simple to use, even for individuals who are not tech-savvy.App IntegrationThe integration with the iHealth app is seamless. Setting up the device with the app was a breeze, and the real-time data synchronization allows for continuous health monitoring. The app provides detailed reports and trends over time, which is incredibly useful for tracking progress or identifying any health issues early on.ConclusionOverall, the iHealth AIR Rechargeable Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is an excellent investment for anyone needing reliable and accurate health monitoring. Its compact size, rechargeable battery, user-friendly interface, and robust app integration make it a top choice in its category. A perfect product, were it not for the accuracy and consistency issues [Rating revised]
I love the product design, from the packaging (so air tight that I could not open it without popping the back to push it out) to the nice iOS App – iHealth, supporting several iHealth devices. The only minor complain I got is the cover of charging port, which is made of a flimsy piece of rubber that can break off anytime. The reason for the ONE star review is the accuracy and consistency. I made sure I followed the suggested guidelines by the manufacture below: • Always insert finger with the fingernail down (finger pad up)• Make sure that the finger pad is making a solid connection with the sensor• Choose one of the last 3 fingers (not the pointy finger or thumb)• Make sure your fingers are not excessively cold (You can warm your hands and fingers simply by rubbing your hands together before taking the measurements)Unfortunately the readings either failed to read (When this happened, it just quit by itself without any warning msg), or gives you sporadic results with Oxygen level ranging between 82% to 99%. It was so inconsistent that had made the data collected entirely useless. Compared to the other dumb OxiMeter I bought before, the difference is day and night.I hope the manufacture can address the usability issues as reported by many customers, and comes out with version 2 of the product, which I am sure I will be the first in line to purchase one. Until then, I might have to return the product before the Amazon return window ends. Or simply wait for Apple Watch 6, which would have such built-in functionality.GaryUpdated on 11/5/2020:I took a leap of faith and requested for a new replacement from Amazon, as opposed to returning it. While the device looks the same, the packaging is simplified and reduced in size. It has the latest firmware version PO3M on the label in the bottom of the box. When I first activated on my iPhone, it seemed to have the similar issues like the last one. However, after I installed the iHealth App on my iPad to use with the device, everything started to work perfectly. Now I can get consistent readings with accurate measurement. The Pulse chart on the App will continue to run indefinitely until I pulled out my finger. I could see the PI rating from 1.0 – 5.2 now. I have concluded that the old device I received initially was probably either defective, or with dated firmware version on it. I am also glad to revise my rating to 5 stars based on the most recent experience for the product.Gary

    Seems to work well!
I just got it two days ago. It’s now fully charged and paired to my phone. So far, it has worked perfectly. The pulse oximeter is a little smaller than the battery operated ones (easy to over look) but it’s white so fairly easy to find. It has no protective case or lanyard that comes with it.To get started you have to download the app. (They have a QR code to scan to make the app easier to find.) After the download, follow the directions to pair to the phone. You have to input the year, date and time on the pulse ox when it’s fully charged. When you check your O2 and heart rate, the results go straight to the phone. Easy peasy!

Ottima fattura e bel design.
