Simple to use and read
Itâs very convenient to have one of these at home now that the free ones at the drugstore are still out of commission. This is very easy to use and the display is large and clear. The cuff will still squeeze your arm and hurt a bit â just like the ones the nurses use â but itâs pretty quick and itâs good to get accurate readings. This one gives me similar readings to what I get at the doctorâs office so Iâd say itâs pretty accurate.

Not particularly impressed with this BP monitor
InBody at-Home Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor BP 170 is made in Korea. The monitor measures 7.5â x 4â but the size of the screen is only 4.5â x 2.5â. Itâs a fairly noisy operation. It comes with 4 AA size batteries. When batteries are first installed, it goes to the date and time setting. However, it tends to jump to start while in the process since the start button is also used at the set button. If the date or time is not correct, the only way to adjust it is to completely remove and reinsert the batteries and try again. This monitor has features that are common to most BP measuring devices. It does have an unusual latex-free cuff that does spring into a wrap around position from a flat storage position. However, one still has to wrap the ends around. After using it, it stays in the wrapped position and if one wants to store it flat, it requires bending back. I donât see any advantage in this cuff to any of the other style cuffs that I have used.Since I do monitor my blood pressure, I am very used to different devices. I compared the accuracy to two that I know are calibrated correctly and the results are very close. The small icons are very similar to what one would find on any electronic BP monitor. I did not find any that provide information that is unique to this one. What disappointed me about the InBody at-Home Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor BP 170 is the fact that, although it does come with an AC adapter jack, it does not include the adapter. This model requires a 6V size pin style adapter which really should have been included for this to be considered a premium product. It does come with the 4 AA batteries that will need replacing on a regular basis. This InBody BP monitor does appear to be accurate with measurements that are in the expected range. However, it does not have any special features that are not available on many other monitors.

Mixed feelings | InBody at-Home Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor BP 170
I ordered this for myself, because I was concerned that I had high blood pressure due to a severely stressful time I was going through. I wanted something I could keep in my tote bag and just grab when I needed to measure my blood pressure and do it quickly. In that respect, it’s moderately successful. I don’t know if you could get an one-touch arm-style cuff much more discreet/smaller than this, but it’s surprisingly the system that attaches to it that’s larger in size than expected. Still, it’s small enough to be packable and unobtrusive. The cuff fits my plus-sized arm well, I’m about a size 14 US. It’s comfortable enough and appears to be accurate, but I was confused when I ordered and didn’t realize that “without Bluetooth” meant “without app capability at all,” though I suppose I should have. It was very disappointing to realize this wasn’t app-monitored at all and had no way of transferring the data to my device.Overall this product works and it works well; it takes accurate measurements, turns on reliably and functions properly. But for one thing the price is off-putting for a device with no app function and that does not really have any other special functions. The one-touch cuff is interesting but not necessary for me personally and I don’t really see the benefit. These devices come in a very wide range of price points so for me I have trouble seeing the value of this one versus other ones that are much less expensive and appear to do the same thing. But I’m not an expert, and I’m satisfied with how this works for me in general, so I would still say I recommend it to others.

The one touch cuff is a nice aspect, reads fairly accurate compared to Omron
Got this for my grandmother and it actually works fairly well being ‘one touch’. It does keep the tension consistent every time you use it. I’ve noticed that it reads maybe a few points higher systolic compared to the Omron. The instructions on using the cuff works well and reminds you of the slap bands from the 90s. Funny to see that stuff now being used here. The back kick stand is very difficult to pull out. It’s not something my grandmother could pull out easily with her grip strength. It does require two hands to unbend the cuff afterwards but when measuring it’s a quick slap on then wrap with the velcro. The monitor does the rest itself. These sometimes tend to lose accuracy over time so we’ll have to check in later on.

Good blood pressure monitor
I wrapped the cuff over my upper arm as directed. I just pressed the start button, and the automated procedure began. It’s a tight squeeze. You can change it if necessary. I didn’t even try. It completed the process and provided me with my reading. It was inside my comfort zone. This model’s mobility is appealing to me. It has a crisp appearance, is quite current, and will fit in your travel baggage. I really appreciate the huge display. This is an excellent solution for those of us who monitor our blood pressure, and it is also really useful for virtual medical consultations.
