Bought for my nephew
A great book! Finally found one that he could actually relate to in a great sense, the book covers a lot of bases, Iâm glad I purchased it.

Misleading description
The book has one story only, in which a kid goes through a variety of emotions with some guidance. The book description states that it has 14 other short stories but it doesnât- they are merely one line scenarios presented with two choices of how you would behave.. Also the emotion cards are just random cartoon pictures in the book you can cut out. I donât find these too useful- there are plenty of way better free resources online for this. I recommend checking out Zones of Regulation online where you can print out emotion cards.
Overall it was a good story that I read with my 4 year old and I like how in the story it associates a color with the emotion (we are learning (Zones of Regulation). However the description is very misleading and I thought Iâd be getting more for $13.

Understanding emotions
Great book for kids to understand their emotions. I especially loved the identifying emotions/scenarios portion after the story is over. Well done.

misprinted book
This book has pages that are misprinted with grid lines. I ordered a replacement copy and it was the same. Don’t buy!

Great lesson, but missing pages.
We loved the stories and examples in the book. My four year old caught on quick to what it was teaching, and putting colors to her emotions. The reason I dropped some stars is we don’t have any of the body cues pages in the book. The emotion cards are there, with no instructions on what to do with them, but no body cues pages, which has my kid missing out on a big reinforcing lesson from the book. I went to the site in the book it has listed for the cards, and it is not a valid site.

Disapointing
I bought this book and was excited to get it. I was very disappointed that half the book was cards to cut out and paste together. It also did not have 15 stories as indicated. It included scenarios but I could easily find those online. I sent it back.

This children’s book is one that is designed to help children to understand emotions through the finding of a watch and whilst I found the book to be written well and with good illustrations, I do have to mark this down as for me the fact a child finds a watch and keeps it is actually teaching a bad lesson as surely they would be taught to hand this in or try to find the owner.

This is a great book to read to teach children about emotions and how to figure out the best way to calm down when feeling big emotions. It also shows that it is okay to have big emotions; it doesnât change who we are. Love the simplicity of this book

We were so excited to find this book but became very disappointed at the end. We have read with my child who noticed straight away that the colours named in the story were not the same as on the cards at the end which made him confused.
The story also was very short and not really gava anything to learn. The situation game was also annoyingly boring.
