Thrifty massager
I bought this to use on my IT band and to massage my quads after my daily jog. I can’t believe how well it worked. I say “worked” because after a few uses I don’t even need to use it anymore. So, now I use it to massage my whole body and to stretch out my back. I bought the 18″ because that is what was recommended for the IT band. Now, I wish that I had bought the 36″ because that would work better for the back. This is a nice quality roller, but I find the cheaper version at my gym works just as well. I prefer a softer one for the IT band.

A bit too hard
It’s shorter than I thought, but accurate with what the description says. I must have misestimated. It’s just too hard for me to use now. Hurts so bad. I’ll keep it for when I’m in a better condition to use it, but I wish it were 4″ longer and a bit softer. I’m using the hip hero for now. That works a bit better for me because I can control the intensity of the stretch.

I have a sore spot on my ITB on my thigh, and this really worked to get rid of it. I will say this thing is hard as a rock and I guess I would have bought a softer one if I knew just how hard this thing is, but it works for sure, and a good price.

Inaccurate picture advertising
Haven’t used this yet. May return it because I already have a similar sized one. I, unfortunately, went with what the picture looked like, rather than reading the fine print about the size of the roller. The picture I am sure shows the 24 or 36 inch roller, when you look at the proportions of the picture shown. I was expecting a longer skinnier roller from the picture. Poor advertising, not smart on my part not to read the small print. Read the small print. These ARE great tools, but I certainly don’t need two of the same thing.

Does the Job
It does what it was designed for which is to knead out muscles but actually I hate it because it hurts when I use it but that is why I purchased it. My IT band is very tight so I roll on it most every night which brings tears to my eyes. This device is solid, holds it shape, and is long enough for one appendage to be exercised at a time. Yes, I would highly recommend it but don’t ever let yourself get out of shape.

Great foam roller, perfect size for home use
I picked this foam roller because I wanted to roll out my muscles at home. I didn’t want a giant roller like at the gym, and this roller is the perfect size to use at home. It doesn’t take up too much space, and is just as effective on my muscles as the longer roller. The blue color is also nice, and the material is very durable.

I’d describe it as medium in density, and I would use it to warm up before moving onto the densest roller – which to me is where the real therapy is.The only issue I’m experiencing with the J Fit is that it’s not holding up its shape that well. I’ve been using it consistently for about four months now. And while it still delivers, over time (and my 150 lbs body) the foam seems to be clustering on the inside in some areas, making the rolling motion a little bumpy and awkward.I wouldn’t call it a deal breaker, and I suppose this is to be expected from a roller that’s not completely ridged. But I think I may need a replacement after a year or so.* Note that the photo used in the product description makes the roller look longer than it really is. Nice little roller, decently dense, good for when you’re just starting out rolling. However, at this price point there are better alternatives such as the Amazonbasics one, which is more dense and has aged better. The JFit one started becoming soft after a while.
