I naturally have a lot of hair, and it’s thick. Even so, I can’t go without showering every day because I hate the way my hair flattens out after a night of sleep with my hair tied up. I lose a lot of volume overnight even if I leave my hair down. I used Pantene Pro V shampoo and conditioner (the one for volume) for the longest time. It did an OK job volumizing and smelled AMAZING.. but I feel like it really dried out my hair, so I found it got tangled often which didn’t help my already damaged hair. I decided to do some research and found this John Frieda. Hands down – ultimate volume, especially with the use of the volumizing conditioner. I straighten my hair every single day, and I find that with the use of the shampoo and conditioner, I don’t lose volume at all even after re-straightening later in the day before an evening outing. My hair is now very shiny, looks and FEELS healthy, and I don’t have to brush my hair more than two times a day. Since I have a lot of hair, I go through a bottle of the shampoo and a bottle of the conditioner every week. If they sold this in larger sizes I would be so much happier, especially since retail cost on this at any drugstore is almost 9 dollars each! It would also be cool if it had a stronger scent, since I’m used to Pantene, but my boyfriend says he likes the smell which is good enough for me.
