Just perfect!
My son is a canine officer, and I thought this was the perfect book for his son (my grandson) How great to spend a day with what dad and also canine officer Phin are doing? Even better, the characters almost look like my son and his furry partner! Itâs adorable, great illustrations-a hit! I think my grown son loved it even more than the five-year-old! Ha ha ha!

Sgt. Mark Tappan & (retired) K9 Mattis are THE ambassadors for Law Enforcement K9 teams. Their intense bond and amazing relationship is evident in everything they do. Following this amazing duo brings me such joy. This is an excellent book to teach children how to respect animals & show them how intense the love between humans and animals can be. We could increase the amount of animal lovers we’re raising & provide loving homes for more animals. We can even raise some future K9 handlers! There are so many amazing K9 teams that are so joyful to follow. I must say, Mark & Mattis are my favorite!!! There is nothing like the love of a dog (or cat, horse…….. 🙂

This book is beautifully illustrated and appears as a childrenâs book, but it is a book for all ages especially dog lovers. I own hundreds of books, at least 6 bookshelves and this book is the most charming. K9âs are very special. I donated to officer chad Hagen in shaker heights to bring his K9 dog Igor home. Mattis on the Job is a fun, entertaining and informative book for children. They will learn about a typical work day for a police K9 and the fun that the dog has. The book has great appeal for children 5 and up including those of us âgrown up kidsâ! Mark Tappanâs writing style is that of a great storyteller! If you havenât met Mark & Mattis, I recommend adding that to your bucket list. This is another great book about Mark and his best friend Mattis. The story is adorable, the graphics are awesome! 𥰠I would recommend any teacher getting this book to add to their classroom!
