Great boots, lasted 10 months.
These boots got used very lightly during the week, and extra heavy during most weekends for long hikes through Florida trails in sand, dirt, and mud.Good ankle support for versatile terrain, tread was never an issue, never slipped on wet rocks but I also didnât test it often. Size I usually buy fit very well, 12w. A bit firm at first, but will break in.The pair lasted the 10 months with minimal care in cleaning (occasional brushing sand/dirt, keeping dry)Eventually the material started peeling and now the waterproofingâs compromised.Because of the waterproofing they run a little warm, but itâs worth the trade off on days after the rain not to have soaking wet feet.

Very pleased with this purchase.!
hiked over 100 miles – sometime in the rain and mud. Kept my feel dry and comfortable until my socks got wet above my ankle and water began to leach down. Very comfortable, high quality sole. Even after getting wet and dirty, they cleaned very fast. Didnt seem to have mud nor debris hanging on to these. Great!!! boots. Would buy again.

Most comfortable for wide feet, if you get a good pair!
I bought a pair of these from a local outdoors type store, and liked them enough to order a second pair a month later from Amazon, so I could alternate. I take the dog out for walks/hikes twice a day, and sometimes go for up to 3 hours hikes on our local mountain trails. I have a hard time finding good shoes/boots that don’t hurt my feet as I have a wide toe box, but narrow ankles. These were the only ones that didn’t hurt the sides of my feet and that I didn’t need to get special inserts to prevent pain in my feet. The grass is always wet in the mornings, and we often cross small streams on my hikes, and there have managed to keep my feet dry.The pair I got from the local outdoors store (big coop chain) had a slightly different insole color than the ones I got from Amazon. Within a couple months, or so, the ones from the local store where showing cracks in the material around the outside edges of the toe box, whereas the ones I bought from Amazon have not shown any signs of cracking at all. Other than the insole color, they look the same, but I’m guessing maybe they are manufactured in different places, one more cheaply than the other? After about a year, those cracks broke all the way through and that pair has gone into the trash, while the ones from Amazon are still going strong. After throwing away the bad pair, I bought another pair from Amazon (very recently), and they have the same color insole as the previous pair I got from Amazon, so I’m hoping they hold up as well as that pair, and I’m now swapping between the two pairs from Amazon.

Not up to Keen standards, poor durability
Bought these as my waterproof hikers 9 months ago, I do about 6 miles a day with the dog in the PNW, so if it isn’t raining, the ground is typically dewy until 11am or so for 9 months of the year. I hate writing reviews in the first month, so I waited to have more experience with the product. The good: Keen fitment, wide in the toe box, but solid support throughout the boot (mid-arch through the ankle). Great tread on the boot for our terrain- mud, rock, roots and moss. Not the lightest boot, but I like the feel and support the weight gives and anything waterproof under $200 will weight this much. The NOT so good: most of the boot is well constructed, but the gussets on both boots have worn through in 5-6 months of use. The leather uppers, ankles and tongue are all fine, gussetbut all 4 gussets failed and upon inspection I see that the leather is paper thin. This reveals the insulation/padding and renders the boot less than waterproof. I expect a better product from Keen, whose boots I have owned for years. It’s possible they had a bad batch of leather for this production, but it’s left me feeling like they are cheap boots in the end.The verdict: I will spend the extra $$ for a higher end boot that will last years, ultimately saving me money in the long run.

Five stars because of the wide toe!
I’ve had Keens before so I’ll assume these will last. The others did. What I’m really happy about, though, is the wide toe. It’s hard to find a hiking shoe that is roomy for the toes but not too wide overall. I did research to find the best ones out there and this one was in the list. I bought a half size over my usual 10 and it’s perfect with a thick sock. Nice shoe. Feels great and isn’t even broken in yet.

I recently purchased these hiking boots, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Right out of the box, they felt comfortable and well-cushioned. The quality of the materials is impressive, and the waterproof feature kept my feet dry even in muddy conditions. The traction on the soles provided excellent grip on uneven terrain, which gave me confidence even during in my work. I highly recommend these boots to anyone looking for reliable and durable footwear for their outdoor adventures.
