So much fun while learning too!
I totally forgot I preordered this book (her last book was so good, I knew I had to get this one too!) and then it showed up on my doorstep today. My kids (7 and 11, one with special needs that loves hands-on activities like these) are excited to flip through the book and pick out what they want to do first. The book is fantastic for gals and guys and great for all ages (with precautions based on the supplies of course) and the experiments offer a lot of opportunities to build everyoneâs science knowledge. I even homeschool my son and used her last book as part of our science curriculum and will use this one for it too. The instructions are easy to understand and thereâs always a supply list. The graphics are on point, the layout flows well, and the explanations really help solidify the information the child (and sometimes, quite often, me!) are learning. You could decide to work through all the experiments, only do your current favorites, or just pick up the book and do whatever random experiment it opens up to for an extra layer of excitement. I ordered a few of these to be sent to friends and family with children that are ages 3-15 or so before I even got my copy. Thatâs how confident I was based on her last book that this one would be fabulous too. You canât go wrong with any books by Emily Calandrelli!

Perfect Gift For Your Curious Child
We have a super curious grandson who loves to investigate science and the outdoors. We find that gifting these books helps him focus on a subject to study, and with his parents he is able to learn more in an organized way. Person
Great books, well written, colorful, engaging, easy to understand and for a child to follow, would buy again.

Great science book
We love Emilyâs wonder lab. These spin off books are great to continue encouraging curiosity. We have done several experiments and each excites my child as much as the next. There are a few that are kind of âlameâ and also a couple that require materials that are not exactly ânormalâ but overall most should be able to be done with household items. The little explanations are perfect to answer the âwhyâ questions to make this a teachable science book.

So amazing!
Iâm in love with this book. My kids love Emily, and are obsessed with her show Emilyâs Wonder Lab. We love the bits at the end where she shares how to do some experiments at home. My girls love science, so having hands on encouragement is so amazing, especially from a phenomenal female role model like Emily. Of course when we learned of the book we had to buy it, and it does NOT disappoint. Itâs so easy to understand, colorful and engaging for the kids, and it truly fosters their desire to Stay Curious and Keep Exploring! But my all-time favorite is when my 5 year old daughter said, âMom, girls can be scientists too! If Emily can do it, I can too!â ð¥°

So fun!
6yo loves this book and frequently asks to do another experiment from it. The pictures make it more enticing and itâs easy to follow for her. The quality of the book is also great and it seems like it will last!

Great science book
This book is full of fun experiments that make science fun. Glow in the dark body paint, egg geodes, thermal slime. My only complaint is that while it has a shopping list in the back, that list does not include everything youâll need. For instance dry ice and water Glass are not on the list. Otherwise we did quite a few of the experiments and my kids loved them. We also made a box full of things we need( from reading though) so we can do more on our next free day. I suggest this book for people who want to make science cool.

This book is so awesome!
My boys and I loved Emilyâs first book so it was a no brained that we were absolutely going to get her second book of experiments the day it came out. As a mom who loves science and wants my boys to also love science I sometime get overwhelmed trying to find ways to bring science into our home without it becoming overly complicated. Emilyâs book has solved this problem. The experiments are fun and interesting AND easy for anyone to plan and do. No crazy expensive or hard to find items needed. Oh and the book itself is just beautiful. I love the layout and all of the colors!!

Not only does this book have easy to follow experiments, but it explains the science behind every single one in a way that is easy to understand. The experiments are fun and engaging. My older children can perform many of the experiments on their own, and often reach to Emilyâs first book (and now this one) when boredom strikes. The experiments also have the added bonus of gifting my sensory seeking neuro-spicy children with some much needed sensory input! Makes a great gift, too! We need more girls in STEAM. Always happy to support a female promoting good science! Emily is an incredible and inclusive roll model.

Me encanta. El problema de siempre es que algunos materiales no son fáciles de encontrar o son caros… Pero leer este libro hace que veas el resto de libros de experimentos del mercado insulsos o incompletos.

This book is a fantastic sequel to the first book of experiments. It is full of ideas to use at home on rainy days, but also with groups like a birthday party or youth group.
Most of them are easy to set up and it brings so much joy when my daughters ask “Can we make this?” and I get to say YES!

Dad of two daughters here.
Raise them right. Girls can get messy. Girls can be engineers, and scientists, and can blaze their way through anything they set their mind to. I LOVE Emilyâs books. Also, my kids do too. How often does that happen?! Yes, my girls still play with Barbieâs, and thatâs ok! But they ALSO play with science, and Lego, and tinkercrates and other STEM related things.
This book is packed full of easy and maybe sometimes messy experiments. It thatâs what makes them fun, and thatâs why itâs such a great learning tool. Thinking about it, itâs a far better value than kiwi crates. The majority of experiments can be done with things I already have at home!
Donât hesitate to buy this for any children in your life. Definitely worth every cent.

Another fantastic resource from Emily who is making science relatable and accessible for everyone! My kids literally jumped up and down In excitement when they saw it, thrilled that âEmily from the Science Lab on TVâ wrote a âwhole bookâ for them to have!
