Great solar/USB light
I’ve purchased four of these lights, two for us and two for our son. My husband put one in his backpack so I’ll probably purchase a couple more. I charged them using one the USB plug but love that they can be charged by solar too. The flashlight works great and lantern is great for camping or emergency. Seems very durable and lightweight, and for the money it’s a great purchase. Love that I don’t need batteries for it.

Cute little thing
You know what, I just got this thing a few days ago, and already the company and amazon are wanting a review.. I think they wanted the review before I even got the product, but, that seems to be the trend these days… All you have to do is look at a product, and they want a review!!!!!! So, lets cut the chase… I have now played with this little light here at home for a few nights, discharging and recharging several times to get the internal battery limbered up and trying to get it SEASONED for full range of power use. Overall impression is pretty darn good, but, like always, the inventers stop inventing before they get to the finish line.. So, what did they screw up this time… First is the internal battery, it should have been bigger!!! It is okay, but, does not last very long.. I use it at the picnic table, and it works through dinner, etc. but, becomes pretty weak soon thereafter…. Is this a deal breaker? NO. But, it could be better!!! Next is the way the top and bottom click together.. I thought I was going to break it trying to get it open!!! It required the power of a bull to get the top to separate from the bottom!!!!! MERCY… Little pressure tabs on the sides could have resolved this!!! Time will tell as to how long all this ripping apart the top and bottom will last!!! Primitive at best.. Is this a deal breaker? NO, but, could have been a lot better!!! Then, there is the handle!!! It is one of the fold over to the side types.. Kind of a cleaver thing to do, but, the bums who designed the handle, left the edges sharp!!! How much booze do you have to drink to overlook this small issue… Drinking booze and smoking weed, should not be allowed while designing real outdoor gear.. Save that for the foofoo crap people put in their house!!!! But, is the handle a deal breaker? NO…. So, with all these issues, why a five star???? Because if it stays just the way it is, it should provide a good source of light in a small package for q good long time… I do like the squish design!!! I do like that when squished, it serves as a decent little flash light.. I am thinking this was designed for kids to use to play in the back yard at night, but, if it has durability, it will be a good thing to have in the tool box for real campers!!! As for the solar part, I have no idea!!! I have to charge it fast, so I go direct to the micro usb connection…. So, yes, five stars, for trying to do the right thing… Now, they can go back, to the drawing board and finish what they started! Would I recommend it??? Sure!!! It is a risk issue of course, but all the other lights I have, have been risks as well… Even the famous LUCI lights fall apart.. I have two of them.. Nice, but just the other day, one of the straps just broke loose from the lantern!!!! Of course, the warranty is already gone, so, I patched it up with some gorilla tape.. probably wont last long in the sun, but, what is one to do!!!! So much of the stuff on the market is just junk, but, you hope you get a little use out of them before they go into the landfill.

Camping moves into the 21st century!
I have been camping regularly for over thirty years. My five children and I spent entire summers at a campground. But until I ordered this Solar Powered LED Camping Lantern from Kizen, I had no idea just how outdated my camping equipment was. And how HEAVY! For about twenty years or so I used propane powered lanterns to light my way when we camped. They were not the safest things for children to be carrying, so when battery operated lanterns became available I bought several of them. The battery operated lights were nice, and safe, but they required a ton of batteries for each lantern. And kids being kids, they ran through the batteries like crazy. It was quite expensive keeping those lights in operation. My children are all grown up now, and I am getting ready to continue the family camping tradition with my three (soon to be four) grandchildren. When I started looking around Amazon I was amazed at the variety of solar powered lights that are available now. To satisfy my curiosity, I ordered this solar powered lantern. The first thing that impressed me about the lantern was its weight. Or should I say lack of weight? It weighs next to nothing. As I am not getting any younger or stronger, this is a very strong selling point. The lantern is collapsible and small enough to fit in my purse when collapsed. Quite a change from my older style lanterns. I must say that my expectations of the lantern were not very high, but I was pleasantly surprised. The lantern is very bright. It has two different brightness levels as well as a flashing setting, great to alert someone should I need help. When collapsed the lantern can be used as a flashlight. All with no batteries or fuel. It charges by sun! And if these features were not enough, the lantern can be used to charge my cellphone when it is charged. 21st century camping equipment is something else!

Works Great & Very Compact
This light is very bright! It works both as a lantern and a flashlight. It collapses to a small size. I slip it into my luggage when I travel and then I always have a good reading light no matter how the hotel room is configured

Seems ok but will not sit straight.
I will be using it at a festival I will be flying to attend. It folds down compact enough to carry in my jacket pocket and the flashlight is nice. When back in camp it will be nice to have the lantern. It does not pop up straight and looks goofy. I just hope it lasts and works better than it looks.EDIT: “Provides up to 10 HOURS OF BRIGHT LED. 4 hours to fully charge. ” It does NOT come anywhere close to 10 hours. Maybe 4 at most.

These lights are brilliant, so far I’ve only charged them by sunlight, haven’t used the USB charging facility. They are bright enough to read, cook and generally do anything by. I’d recommend them.Thank youAndy
