I had no idea what these were when I bought them just that my grandson liked stuff like this. I worked from the idea of building things and his age and I chose Gear Bots. He opened them and was super excited! They look great and colorful. It looks to be something that will challenge his mind which is great, I love them to learn while playing. Misleading NAME: These are Wheel & Axle Bots, not a GEAR BOT
Pros:- Good for kids mental development- Creative- Plastic and paper construction- Kid will develop the concept of wheels and axle.Limitations:- Misleading Name- Do not have a gear parts, so this should not be a Gear Bot. I should be something like “Wheel and axle bot”- Paper cheaply made. Kids tear them easily.- Tried working with standard lego parts, did not work well.
