Sensitive skin + eczema life saver
This is the first time iâve used this kind of moisturizer, iâve tried a few but theyâre always too harsh on my skin. My eczema feels like an open wound and many other moisturizers just create a burning sensation when you put it on. This stuff doesnât do that! Iâm so happy that I finally found something that actually moisturizes and doesnât hurt my sensitive skin. Itâs a decently big bottle and the price might be higher than other options, but it definitely is worth it. I pair it with petroleum jelly to help lock in the lotion so i donât have to reapply too often. you may look greasy but the relief is amazing. I get my eczema on my face mostly, super uncomfortable and not fun to look at. When I notice a flare up Iâll start applying both the moisturizer and the jelly. Usually helps slow it down.

I’ve been struggling to find a product that will relieve the itch and the scaly patches without making my hands slippery and greasy. I’ve applied this product only twice since I received it, but based on my extensive experience with other eczema products, this one is a winner! It has a great texture and soaks in quickly, but best if all it relieves the itch very shortly after I apply it. The red scaly patches on my hands are already disappearing and my skin is left soft as a baby’s cheeks!It is fragrance free, but does have a very very faint petroleum-like smell after it is applied to the skin, but dissipates quickly.This is just something I observed that’s not a big deal to me, but may be something to consider for someone else wanting to try this product.I would definitely recommend this product, as it is effective AND affordable, and as a bonus, it is FSA/HSA eligible!

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Soothing Relief Eczema Cream is a great body moisturizer for dry skin.I have dry sensitive skin and sometimes I’ll get dry patches and a mild form of atopic dermatitis on my body. This cream keeps my skin hydrated and while using it I didn’t experienced dry patches or dermatitis flare-ups. It also somewhat helped me relief some minor sunburns I got while hiking. I haven’t used this cream on my face (which is oily and breakout prone).The cream has a balm-like consistency, medium-thick texture, but once applied on the body it spreads easily and gets absorbed quickly into the skin. I can get dressed almost immediately without feeling sticky. It’s a very elegant texture, I enjoy using this cream all over my body after shower. Due to the thickness, it’s a cream that I consume quite fast; if you’re on a budget, this is not the most cost efficient eczema relief cream. The packaging is a soft plastic tube, nothing fancy, but adequate for a thicker formula.Formula wise, this cream is just a basic moisturizer for dry/very dry skin, able to relief eczema; except the Niacinamide and Shea Butter it doesn’t offer that much in the antioxidants and skin-replenishing ingredients.While this cream doesn’t contain any fragrance (and other irritants, which I really appreciate), it does have a mix of oatmeal and shea scent, leaning a little to `medicine` like. I don’t mind the scent, I almost find the oatmeal notes pleasing.There are other efficient eczema relief products on the market at a similar price (Cerave) or lower price (Gold Bond), but it’s something about the texture of the cream that for me justifies the price.

I gave La Roche-Posay’s eczema cream a shot for my eczema flare-ups, and here’s the real deal: it’s great for moisturizing but didn’t quite hit the mark for my flare-ups. It kept my skin feeling soft and hydrated, sure, but when it came to the main event – tackling those pesky flare-ups on my face – it just didn’t stand up to the task. I had to switch back to my trusty cortisone, which honestly did a way better job.I ended up using this cream more as a general body moisturizer. It’s okay for that, but if you’re looking for something to combat serious flare-ups, this might not be your hero product.And about the tube – it’s kind of a pain to squeeze out the last bits of the cream. It’s like you know there’s more in there, but good luck getting it out! A little redesign could go a long way in making sure you can use up every last drop.Overall, it’s a decent moisturizer, but for those tough eczema moments, you might want to keep looking. And a little tweak in the tube design wouldn’t hurt, either!

Trust me!!! About 3 days ago I had a flare up and I believe it was from me testing out new face products and my face is very sensitive and didnât react I called my doctor to send the script which they did but I havenât picked it up yet and was came across this product!! I put it on my face at 10 pm and by 4 am my skin has cleared!!!!! These photos are hours apart I am still going to get my script to my sure but I had to post this and I just got the product delivered 12 hours ago!! Though this doesnât cure my dyshidrotic eczema, it soothes and moisturizes it really well. I mix this with a little castor oil on my hands and wear cotton gloves at night. I wake up to softer feeling skin!
