Anybody can use these pads
After having my vocal cords removed due to throat cancer, I needed to find various forms of communication devises in order to convey my message. I’ve found that these scribble pads work really well. The are small and light weight, the type is easy to see. However, the screen wears out rather quickly, within a few months of use. The price is great because you do receive 4 of them. I’ve only had one battery die but they are easily replaced will the right screwdriver.

Some of the other reviews made me nervous after purchasing. I was concerned the drawings would be really hard to see and underwhelming. They certainly are not as awesome and vibrant as the photos show, but they also are not as bad as some of the more negative reviews would have me believe. My photo for example, right to the left is a big window letting in a lot of natural light, and the drawing is still very clear to see. No squinting or straining your eyes. I would say rather than being hard to see, it’s just the color appears a little watered down for lack of a better word. My toddler loves it, and I like it too. Button to erase works great, she picked it up real fast.You cannot selectively erase parts though. It’s either a total erase or no erase. However, upon looking at other products, it seems this is the case for any other similar eInk tablet. Must just be the nature of the product and technology.

Great for car rides or sibling sport games
My 4 year old and 10 year old love these!! They both bring them on car rides and play them at their brotherâs baseball games. It is easy to use and loads of fun! This would be a great gift!

In the package of four, one did not work at all, but the other three were just fine.
I actually have bought seven of these, since I have 5 grandchildren from 2-7. I bought a single one first and it was ready to use right out of the box. I brought the box of four to a birthday party and the first 2 out of the box didnât work. In this box, the writing board has two slots on the bottom for a 3V battery. One to control the on/off switch and the other as a spare. One out of the four boards had two working batteries, one other had one working battery with a non working spare. The third had two non working batteries and the last didnât work at all even with new batteries. I then bought one more package of two. All of them worked about the same and was enjoyed by all of the age groups. The younger ones had to be watched so they didnât press too hard or use something other than the pencil it comes with. The older ones used it to write and trace spelling words and figure math problems. The writing surface is not 10â but rather8 1/4âX 6â. The total outside is just over 10âX6 3/4â. Light weight, easy to use and seems sturdy enough.
