Fun, educational, learning fun for your child and Family…
Honestly I got this for my 6-year-old who just turned six in November this past year and I wasn’t sure she was going to divide her attention into this kind of a game when there’s a bunch of different kind of games out there that seem to be much more fun. But with this educational game… It did more than just having fun, I was even a bit shocked to see how much fun my daughter was having with this game and she made up her own rules but that’s okay because by the end of the game which we play for an hour she did amazing with being able to spell the words being able to pick a word that I said and pick it out of the word that we used so yes you can use the directions and play this game by the book or you can make up many of fun ways to be able to teach your child to read whether they memorize the word playing memory making it sentence making a word making a few words teaching them all different kinds of things that they should be going over to make school just that much easier for them to learn though already go in with an acknowledge of what they’re supposed to know and yes I got this at Christmas time for my daughter and she has played with it at least every other day and I see her vocabulary skills already improving and just a matter of a few weeks after Christmas so yeah I definitely recommend this for any child and it does make a great gift as well and it’s really fun to play with I play with my daughter with it we do spelling bees we when she can for her sight words that’s a story for another day but this is great for preschool kindergarten first grade second grade up until the don’t need it anymore and if they do either as many diy things you can do with this because the quality of the game pieces are in great condition and there’s many things you can do once you’re done with the game you could put a little magnets for example in the back of them and just wait you can spell words on your fridge and there’s just many of options I really like this and I’m sure if you do decide to get this you’ll see the endless possibilities that you can make from just this one game it’s great and thank you all who have read my review and enjoy thank you to you all and thank you to Amazon…

    Good learning tool
Although I like the concept and consider this product a good learning tool, I wish that all of the alphabetic letters had been included. I realize that letters such as “q”, “k”, “y”, “z” aren’t used in any of the words listed in the box, but they still should have been included with the other letters so they could be used in other activities and so children would realize that these missing letters are also part of the alphabet. Furthermore, I had to purchase two plastic tackle box holders to place all the letters in to make them more organized and much easier for students to find so valuable classroom time isn’t wasted sorting through the letters to find the appropriate ones. It would have been nice if an organizer had been included with the product even if the price had to be raised to adjust for it. I had to end up paying more than $15 extra just to purchase my own organizers.

Easy to use and great for teaching to read.
These have been great for a five year old learning to read. They’re like little flash cards and the kids love them. They are so excited to play the game when they wake up. A lot of fun, easy to use, makes it easy to teach.

Great spelling tool and writing prompt
My son in a strong reader but was struggling with handwriting and spelling. So for us, we didn’t really need the individual letter pieces. Since handwriting was were we struggled, we found ways to use the pictures on the cards as writing prompts (versus maybe staring at blank page) and they’ve worked perfectly. To give an example, my son would pull a random card, (let’s say it was a picture of a dog) and from there I’d ask him to write three things about the card, maybe what’s depicted on the card (dog), something that describes the dog (sillier the better, so usually he goes for something like “fat”, “good”, etc.), and maybe write either a name or show possession ( the dog’s name is “spot” or the dog belongs to Sam, so “Sam’s). Then he’d combine and arrange it all into a complete sentence : “Sam’s fat dog Spot is a good dog.”Additionally, we made up a sort of game my son calls “spell ’em, stack ’em.” Basically I wrote vowels, consonants, and wild card symbols on two sides of all our Jenga pieces and we play kind if a Bingo game with the cards, pulling pieces and then keeping them to spell out the cards or piling them back onto the tower of blocks if we don’t need them.Anyway, everyone’s mileage will vary as they say but we’ve been getting a ton of use from this pack.

    For teaching reading
It’s not the greatest quality for repeated use. I expected higher quality materials especially since it’s an educational product one that gets repeated use. But I will use it carefully and instruct my students to be gentle with the cards.

Great way to make learning fun!
My 6 year old is in speech therapy, so I wanted a learning game we could utilize for spelling/reading but also have her work on saying the sounds at the same time. This game allows us to tackle all of them! You can work on specific word families, such as en, et, ed, eg words or in, ig, ix, ip words or do a mix of all. One side of the cards have the picture with a blank space for you to spell the word. The other side has the word spelled out with a blank space for the picture tile, giving you more than 1 way to play. Some of the photos may be hard for a child to recognize first try, but once they flip the card over and see the correct word, they’ll know for next time. We put all the letter pieces and picture pieces into their own ziploc bags to prevent losing them. They’re made from like a thin cardboard, but sturdy enough for little hands. I would absolutely recommend this to give a boost to learning those first words for reading & spelling.

    Great Learning Game
This game is a great learning game for that child to learn how to read. I got as a gift for my nephew who was having trouble spelling and reading. This has helped him so much even his teacher has mentioned something to me. The cards are not as durable as I would have expected but will just have to be careful. price is on point.
