I had a 1.5 barrel curling iron but needed a smaller barrel when I cut my hair shorter. This exceeded my expectations. First it gets hot quickly. My hair glides over it. Some reviews say hair gets stuck in the hinge but I havenât had that issue. With a barrel this long, my hair doesnât need to be near the hinge. It definitely curls better than any curling iron I had previously. My only gripe is that the hot part of the curling iron will rest on the counter due to the way the weight is distributed and the long barrel. Luckily it comes with a silicon pad, so itâs not an issue.

I ordered this because I thought it was a higher end curling iron with a longer barrel thus reducing my time in curling my hair. When I received it, it was like in half a box, like it had been returned once. That was not really the issue. The issue was when I tried to use it, it was like it didn’t have a good grip. My hair would slide right out of the curling iron as I began to roll it. It would not hold the hair in place once you started to roll the curling iron so took me 3x as long to do my hair. It was a waste of money for me. Do not recommend.
