The illustrations in this book are adorable and fun to color! Very relaxing! Same kind of paper as previous Coco books so be sure to put paper behind the page you are coloring if you’re using markers.Shading:If you want to add shadows on top of the marker areas, the Prismacolor soft core pencil crayons work beautifully, but only after you let the paper dry completely first, otherwise you risk paper tearing.Marker Blending:Even though the paper is thin you can get away with 1 round of normal blending techniques with both alcohol and water based markers. More than one round though and the paper may start to give way.Tools:So far in this Coco book I’ve tried using:Copic markersTombow water based markersOhuhu alcohol markersKingart water based markersPrismacolor Soft Core Pencil CrayonsPrismacolor Verithin Lead PencilsSakura GellyRoll Moonlight Bold 10 Pens(as shown in my photos)Everything has worked beautifully even though the paper is not thick. In some respects I think the thinner paper provides an advantage to successfully achieving some of the shading and blending techniques because the paper has a smooth finish and is not toothy.I own lots of Coco books and love coloring in them. Her illustration style is calm and friendly, making coloring in them a relaxing and enjoyable experience. There were only a few pages in this book that I personally wouldn’t find enjoyable to color, like the holiday themed pages (wish the holiday pages wouldn’t always be sprinkled in the non-holiday themed books), but they are easily removable. The other pages are absolutely amazing to color and you can tell much thought and care went into creating illustrations that would be fun to color while also helping to reduce stress.Each little scene pulls you in and lets you escape into a peaceful little corner, as the title of the book suggests!A highly recommended coloring book for all ages! Love this coloring book
(UPDATE: I’ve almost finished this book and still think this is an amazing book. For just $8 you get so many pages to work on. I’ve considered buying this book again twice for my partner and I to color together! I’ve added more pics of my favorite pages I’ve worked on from this book. 5 stars, would totally recommend for anyone on the fence!)As a complete newbie to coloring, I was drawn to this book because of its cute, large designs. There are so many ways to color the pages! I originally started with water-based markers, but they were too streaky, so I think colored pencils or alcohol-based markers (which I now use) are the best. I also highly recommend joining the Coco Wyo Facebook group to get inspiration from other people, and looking up tutorials on shading, highlighting, blending and patterns on TikTok or Youtube!The only thing that’s kind of a con is how thin the paper is: it will definitely bleed through unless you put paper behind your page when you color. I put a couple sheets of printer paper behind a page and that’s more than enough! (Update: I use cardstock now which is even better. Look up the astrobrights brand here on Amazon!)I’ve been working on this book one page per day and it’s been a great way to wind down and relax, with low stress, while still being creative. I highly recommend this book and this publisher!

Thin Pages but cute designs!
This coloring book has very cute and easy designs to color, perfect for any age. It has pages at the front talking about how they use budget friendly paper and to use a sheet behind the page you’re coloring to prevent anything bleeding onto the next page. It doesn’t talk about how the paper responds to wet medium. The only issue I’ve been having with the paper is that it wrinkles after being colored on. They hold ink and color very well, you can only really notice the wrinkles once you close the book. Other than that though, very cute and nice coloring book. Perfect gift for any occasion.

Tenía un poco de miedo, por que es un producto importado, creí que no llegaría o que llegaría en malas condiciones, sin embargo me sorprendió el producto, es tal cual se anuncia, muy bonito y los dibujos bastante tiernos para pasar el rato, las hojas son delgadas pero se soluciona con poner una hoja debajo si pintas con plumones, los dibujos sólo están de un lado de la hoja, yo pinto con los Crayola Super Tips y me va muy bien, lo recomiendo si te encanta pintar y tienes mucha imaginación.
